Longines L 5.502.4.16.2 wrist watches news:
In one of those stunning stories only made possible by the Internet, in 2012 a man turned to Google to search for "Vacheron & Constantin" and "egg" to find that the jewel-encrusted gold egg housing a Vacheron watch he purchased for $13,302 in the early 2000s at a Midwestern flea market was in fact an 1887 birthday gift for Tsar Alexander III from?Peter Carl Faberg¨¦. It has now sold privately for millions,?likely?making it the most expensive timepiece on earth. The unnamed individual stumbled on a 2011 Telegraph article entitled "Is this ¡ê20 million nest-egg on your mantelpiece?" The egg was the third of 54 Faberg¨¦?eggs owned by the Russian royal family and had been lost since 1922. It is recorded that in 1922 this egg was transferred from the Kremlin Armoury, which had confiscated the eggs in 1917 when the Tsar was overthrown, to the special plenipotentiary of the Council of People's Commissars, Ivan Gavrilovich Chinariov. Beyond the written records, a 1902 photograph of the egg on exhi
Hello everyone. I'm a regular on TRF normally, hope they get well soon. I've signed up here to show you all newest acquisition! Just picked this baby up today. Keeps good time so far. The only problem is the crown. Unscrewed it pops out to the manual wind position, then if I pull it out one click it still seems to wind instead of changing the date...Am I right in thinking this is what it should do? At the last position it changes the minute hand. Other than that it seems fine. Is this a major problem? Has anyone heard of this before? I bought it for my dad because he's just stopped smoking, with the threat of him having to give it to me if he starts again! He's really happy with it. Cheers everyone!
Hi everyone,As you may have seen in the other thread, I've received a few questions from members on if they can add their photo's to the photo contest. Especially since I've been so behind in getting them posted. So, as this is a community, we're going to make the decision together. Majority rules here. In the event it's ties, Aaron, John & myself will cast the tie-breaker.So what's your opinion. Should the late entries be allowed so we can have as many photos as possible in the contest, or should they not be allowed as their late. Please note this is an anonymous vote, no one will see which way you cast your ballot.

I picked up my first Rolex, BLNR, in Sept 2017 after falling in love at first sight. Ever since buying my first Rolex, I've been itching to pickup a second piece. All the Hulk talk on this forum got me interested so while I was visiting Vegas during Thanksgiving weekend I put my name on the list with Tesorini at Bellagio casino along with other ADs here in San Diego, including AD where I got my BLNR. So today I got a call that I thought was SPAM so didn't answer. The area code was Las Vegas so I called back and the sales person from Tesorini told me they received the Hulk and that I was second on the list so I could have it if first person didn't respond or want it. I think what happened was that I was the first, but since I didn't pickup he called the next in line so I became the second. Anyways, he called me back after ~4 hrs and told me it was mine if I wanted it. Being a new customer they wouldn't take credit card over the phone so I have to wire the money by Tues morning (Mon is b
