- Since this is a Christmas gift I have not opened it to try it out but it looks as mised. It arrived prior to mised date. Great stocking stuffer.

- So far, so good. Very lightweight, and comfortable to wear. This watch has many functions, and it takes a while to figure them all out. However, it does a good job with the basic.

Longines L2.643.4.73.4 wrist watches news:
Hello. I am new to the forum and hope I can get the site figured out. Please advise me if I'm making mistakes. Thanks.I have a pocket watch and would like some information on it. Two things that are strange about the watch and may make it a fake or similar, is that the face of the watch says Waltham, but the screw off back says Hamilton Watch Co.The face of the watch says 23 Jewels but on the actual workings of the watch it says 21 Jewels.I will try and upload a couple of photos. If that works I will upload a couple more.Would appreciate any comments. Thanks.
Well I'm posting it again. It stopped working on one day at work...well I just got some very small tools and craked it open (press-in case back) I took it out to the garage and lightly blew it out with my compressor, wound it and it started right up again. Unfortuneately I still don't have my camera so pics of the movement and wristshots are going to have to wait.I was however not surprized to see a company name I've never heard of on the inside of the caseback and on the movement itself. "Jura Watch Co. Swiss" "Swiss unadjusted one 1 jewel" Jewel is on the balance wheel. There is also a small symbol with what looks like an "EB" in it and the number 3800 under it. Either way, I like it, I'm glad it still works, the right band makes it wear big on me. It also has some sentimentle value (first watch Mom & Dad gave me as a child)Pics will follow when I get my camera back.
Hi, this is my first post here. My husband is looking for silver (colored) watch with gears showing. One that really grabs his attention is the Swatch Body & Soul.prestoimages.net/uploadit...tch_yas1_1.jpgHowever, I've owned a few Swatch watches, and they have an unfortunately short lifespan.Does anyone have any suggestions of something that looks similar to the watch above but is of better quality? We really don't want to spend more than about $250.
I have always admired Omegas, sold/traded quite a few, but none actually sang to me. Gave my father a Seamaster Chrono for his birthday last year, toyed around with the idea of owning a 45.5 Planet Ocean, but never really pulled the trigger. Wasn't for the lack of opportunity, but rather lack of desire. Until now. When I saw this one, it was love at first sight. Nice and thick (14mm) just the right diameter, incredible legibility, and a moon phase to boot. As a first time Omega owner, I see what the hype is all about. This one is here to stay. Not my pic, on my iPad right now, but I already have several wristshots on my phone, will upload them tomorrow when in front of a (real ) computer. Love to be part of the club. Plus - this Speedy has some stiff competition with the other loved pieces in the ol' collection, but hasn't come off my wrist in the last week. And oddly enough, I love the manual wind. Gives it a 'vintage-y' feel, and gives me a chance to play with the watch one extra tim
if no, when was it discontinued?
