Longines L4. 746. 6 wrist watches news:
So, what watch does one wear to the Academy Awards as a first-time Oscar nominee? Admittedly, this was a new first-world problem for Tom Cross, who, as editor of the film Whiplash, recently received an Academy Award nomination for "Best Editing" - one of five Oscars Whiplash is up for this year. UPDATE: Tom Cross received the Academy Award (as well as Independent Spirit Award) for Film Editing for the movie Whiplash. This was a scenario Tom Cross did not anticipate when he started work on the labor-of-love indie drama. ¡°We were just happy to find out we got in to Sundance,¡± explains? Cross of Whiplash¡¯s long, unexpected trajectory: first debuting at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival, then becoming one of - if not the - most acclaimed films of the year.Shot in 19 days on a minuscule budget, Whiplash captures the psychological warfare between a young jazz drummer striving for virtuosity (Miles Teller) and his sadistic teacher/bandleader (J.K. Simmons) who punishes as much as pushes his dis
Long time lurker, first time writer. I've been reading the forum for months and finally worked up the courage to ask a question, a fairly ubiquitous one at that. I'm after my first Rolex and I've settled on the GMT IIc. TT or SS? I'm sure the TT vs. SS question has been asked before. SS speaks to the tool origins of this watch but I'm drawn to the TT version. Both versions are gorgeous. Perhaps I already know the answer. TT seems to give me some additional flexibility for wear from casual to dressy. Perhaps I'm hoping to hear the one persuasive argument that solidifies my decision. I do eventually hope to pick up a used DJ and I think TT is the only way to go there but that hope may never be realized.I've been over-seas for a while saving up the money and I'm getting ready to pull the trigger. I get a couple days of leave in Qatar. Does anybody know if Qatar has any reputable Rolex dealers? If not I'll have to wait until I get back to San Diego. Thanks for your time.
I am still looking for a GMT watch but now with a twist of diver function as the rotating bezel should show 60 min rather than 24 hours. I use that function all the time.I really like the Invicta 6349 but it's a HUGE watch with 47mm bezel. I also like the Benarus Worldiver but apparently they all sold out.Any other similar recommendations?Amazon: Invicta Men's 6349 Pro Diver Collection GMT Stainless Steel Mesh Watch: WatchesBenarus Worldiver GMT - Just Ordered or Arrived Today! - General Watch Discussions - Watch Freeks
Gotta give up the Breguet hunt - I just can't settle for anything less than a 5197, and since they're too new to be on the second hand market and too expensive to purchase brand new I'm calling it quits temporarily. But I have a potential consolation prize - a white gold Blancpain Villeret:I've checked it out a bit since I'm not familiar with the brand, contacted the seller, and now I'm just finishing up some homework and deciding which last watch to flip before finalizing the transaction. It's no secret I like the Villeret series (drooled over member ChaoticBliss' ss version, used the rg moonphase/perpetual as a semi-believable April Fool's joke on you guys) so this one will be a welcome addition and a great way to replace the Tiffany's Mark Coupe I sold off late last year. It has an ultra-thin Piguet caliber 21 inside - another plus since thin manual winds are my thing and with it I'll have one auto (Corum) and one manual Piguet in the box. This is the most successful faliure I've
Hi people,I was wondering how you can see if a aluminium bezel insert on a 16610 is genuine or not? What is it that I need to look for to detect if it is original or not? Thank you for your help!
