Longines Longines 22091 wrist watches news:
Earlier this year, we brought you word?of a new model from Linde Werdelin, the Oktopus II Moon. ?Today, we've got word of a new version of that rather interesting watch, and it's quite a fun twist, one that I'm partial to and that being engraving. ?Don't get me wrong - the luminous, hand-drawn moon phases are a very fun addition. But, when I see artistic engraving taking place on a watch case however, that's what I'm drawn to, given its relative rarity. The case starts out as a standard Oktopus II case (44 x 46 x 15mm), but made from 18k rose gold - then it's handed off to the engraver. ?This is why this watch is known as the Oktopus Moon Tattoo - the engraving on the case itself very much carries the look of an ink tattoo. This is the second event "tattoo" watch that Linde Werdelin has created, the first based on a similar watch, the original Oktopus watch. From a straight-on view, it actually looks like the engraving appears to be subtle. ?Turn it to catch the light, though, and the be

I as I have said before, I am new here and don't own an Omega yet, but I am close to pulling the trigger on one soon. I had pretty much narrowed it down to the 2054.50, until the other day.I am lucky enough to have two ADs in my area and I tried on a 2054.50 and loved it. Then the next day I tried on a 212.30.41.20.01.002, or the Black Bond non LE. It was beautiful, gorgeous, stunning. I especially liked the back of the 212.30.41.20.01.002.My question is this, is it really worth more than $1000 more for the Black Bond. Is the Co-Axial movement really worth the extra cash? I do understand that the Co-Ax can go for ten years without service while the 1120 movement should be serviced every five years, but really, it would be fifteen years before I realized any savings.Any thoughts?
Before I get into it, I know there have been multiple threads on this comparison. My reasoning may be a little different.. Originally I wanted a Speedmaster Professional as my one and only watch, but ended up buying an 114060 Submariner. I want to add a second watch just to switch things up and a Speedmaster is likely going to happen as a 30th birthday gift to myself. I feel like the First Omega In Space can dress up a little more easily than the Pro. Whichever I choose will be on a leather strap, I'll probably end up with a black and brown strap as well as either a nato or canvas/fabric option to dress it down.Does anyone have any reason I should choose the professional over the fois, other than the classic/hesalite angle? Keep in mind, I want something that compliments my Sub, and it will 100% be on leather (reason I didn't buy the speedmaster pro in the first place was that I couldn't get a proper fit with the limited adjustment on the bracelet) and this will be my dressier piece.
