- I got this as a birthday present from my friend and was wowed as soon as I opened the box. It is stylish and elegant. Love that it is two-toned! I use it everyday. Had it for only 2 mths so not sure about durability.

When it comes to affordable automatic watches, few brands offer the same bang-for-your-buck value as Orient. Like Seiko's more affordable automatics, Orient watches are often touted by the collecting community as a great way to get your feet wet with automatics before spending a larger chunk of change on pricier mechanical timepieces. That said, Orient watches are great in their own right, and their MSRP (or rather, their street price) often belies the true value of these great timekeepers. Having owned a few myself when I first began collecting watches, I can attest to their quality (In fact, I still regret flipping the 60th anniversary hand-cranker Orient released a few years back). The Mako has been Orient's flagship dive watch for a long time now, and it's often a watch recommended alongside the iconic Seiko SKX007 diver. Hello all,I've decided my next watch will be a Calatrava, and I'm about set on the 5296G sector dial, and recently found one pre-owned for sale. It's from 2006 and comes complete with certificate and box etc. Anyway, came up with a couple of questions if anyone can help or has advice.1) how much will a complete service and polish at PP cost, and how long will it take?2) has PP changed the movement (or case, dial etc.) since 2006 or would it be identical to a new model? 3) the watch has light scratches and has clearly been worn frequently, although nothing that shouldn't come out with a polish. What is a fair price? Thanks for any help!!
