- Nice watch, but definitely a men's watch. I have a 7 1/4 wrist and this watch is huge. Too for me, face and band are very large for a woman. It's gotta go back, too bad because I was really excited to receive it.

Longines L3.640.3.96.7 wrist watches news:
LarryD's response to Zin's thread on favourite casebacks got me thinking, just how many owners names we can put to the 50th anniversary Speedy Limited Edition numbers here at WTF. LarryD owns 0496/5957 and I own 0200/5957, any others...?Cheers!
This may primarily apply to owners of the Speedy Pro but I wonder if it could be valid for self-winding watches as well.I had long held an opinion that by keeping the power reserve topped up, a watch would run more efficiently. However there is another as I discovered through GJ that letting your watch run down allows it to use its' entire range. I think I also read somewhere that once in a while, probably around a month it would be good to let the watch run down until it stopped. What have you heard pals and Gee Jaay, can you throw any more light on this please? Any heard anything to the contrary?Y'all have a nice day now pals and may your watches never stop ZIN
Yeah, its a Wittnauer, but I started my collection years ago with Longines/Wittnauer and I always come back once in a while. It has got great lines and probably hasn't ever been heavily polished. Check out the lugs and original crown.Don't mind my fingerprints!A beauty with a rotor that I haven't seen before:Keeps EXCELLENT time. Gained 2 seconds in 24 hours sitting face up!
My first watch of 2014 is the Tourneau Jump Hour. The 18k Pink gold case is 40mm and the black Lizard band is complete with an 18k buckle. The 27 jewel movement has a 48 hour power reserve. It is an ETA base with a Dubois-Depraz jumping time module. After nearly two weeks of wrist time it¡¯s still within 10 seconds, making it one of, if not the, most accurate mechanical timepieces I¡¯ve ever owned. The handtooled guilloche dial is made from solid sterling silver, and is absolutely magnificent when viewed under high power. Both crystals are antireflective so that the dial and movement are easy to view without being obstructed by glare. I¡¯ve attached some macro pics so that it can be seen in all its glory. ENJOY!
So does anyone know how quick AD get the new models after Basel??
