TAG Heuer CV2014.FT6014 wrist watches news:
Gruen Strap 88 (a world beyond Elgin)Introduced in the mid 1920s, the Strap 88 was a cut corner, fully engraved bezel. The case is a Fahys 3 piece, 14kt Gold filled. The Guild movement is 15 jewel . and its believed that was supplied by Fontainemelon Freres(FHF) The watch featured in the the1929 Gruen Guild Book and SupplementAccording to Bruce Shawkeys Gruens Collectors Guide(out of print), there were several models in this range.A Strap 87, with a plain bezel, a Strap 94, which is similar to the Strap 88, but in Green Gold, which I have never seen, so the Case and movement makers, are presently not know, Anybody out there help?A later Strap 219 fitted with a Guild 705 movement, again never seen one, may not be cased in a Fahy, as the company closed in 1931, and this Strap 219 maybe a little later!B
Hey guys, I'm new here, have been a watch fan for a long time. Was my recent decision stupid? I sold my Omega Seamaster (made just a $2 profitstill better than losing money, I suppose!) and ended up buying two watches: a simple Once Again Swatch for 50 bucks as a "beater" and an Invicta 8926 for $166 (with tax included; I now realize I could have paid a bit less online). Was it stupid to sell the Omega? It was a fine watch, but I found the looks somewhat conservative, and friends were mistaking it for a cheap Citizen or Seiko even though it was a nice chunk of changeplus I was always afraid of scratching or dropping it.The Invicta, on the other hand, was only $166 and looks to most people including my own eye to be a much higher end and more sophisticated watch. Sure, the bracelet feels a bit cheap, but it looks good. The movement is a little loud in my opinion, others online have echoed this sentiment I believe, but it keeps fantastic time thus far. And, of course, I wish it had a sap
Hello there. This is my first post so I'll just say my name is Darren, and I'm from Essex in England and it's a pleasure to be here.I stumbled across this watch when going through some of my mums stored stuff and wondered what you could tell me about it?, These isn't much to go on online and wondered if the good people here at Watch Talk could help out.I have attached some photos. Thank you.
Hi guysI have received my 1.5 link for the 15202 and the screw inside is impossible to remove. Not sure what AP use to glue the screw but I've tried various ways to heat the damn thing. Anyone else had this issue?Apart from going to the AD, is there any other way to remove the screw? Thanks
