- Ibought a Skagen watch for my brother so I know the quality is excellent. The crystal broke (impact) and customer service was great. I bought this watch for my mother. It is elegant, versatile, and extremely well made..

For its June 15 sale in New York, Patrizzi & Co Auctioneers will present a selection of “World Time” men’s and women’s wristwatches, pocket watches and clocks, along with other collector-level timepieces. More than 200 timepieces, including the World Times, will be offered in the auction, with two sessions at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. in the company’s gallery on the sixth floor of 595 Madison Avenue. A three-day Silent Sale of an additional 150 to 200 watches will be held from Saturday, June 12, to Monday, June 14.“World Time clocks and wristwatches eloquently capture a geographic history of the world,” said Osvaldo Patrizzi, president and chief executive officer of Patrizzi & Co. “These timepieces preserve the evolution of timekeeping and international capitals, going back to
Can anyone direct me to a web site with an explanation of the current reference #s. I found a couple with older models, but not current.
Hi all,Since I'm new here and want to create a good first impression I thought I'd ask a quick question re: the etiquette of linking to commercial sites.Specifically, is it ok to link to an eBay auction (or similar) seeking input on the authenticity of a watch before bidding? Thanks all for your input. BTW - I'm asking this after reading the FAQs
Ok, this started out as a question: Which Omega to wear on your motorcycle? I notice there seem to be, from the looks of the avitars, a number of riders (er, motorcyclists) out there. I would be worried about losing my baby if I were to wear any of my meager collection (2!). Any war stories about how your favorite sidekick holds up to The Ride? Any war stories about travels with your sidekick? *love 'em all, but Ducati and Triumph are my favs-Motorcyclist, hopefully returning to the fold soon
I've had several threads about the 5712 and 5164. I think I'm leaning towards the 5712, but to get it now would mean I'd like pair down my collection to just the 5712 at the moment. So...Does it make sense to have the 5712 as your only watch? Currently I have a BLNR and SS Daytona, and while the 5712 is not a PM watch...it does look more dressy to me than my Rolexes. I know it will look great with a suit and when I'm dressed for work...but what about when I'm casual?? Is it a watch that goes with anything? It could just be more history with Rolex but I've been very pleased with how versatile they are...and the PP 5712 just looks more formal to me - hence my concern.Anyone just have a 5712 and/or use it as their daily go-to?Thoughts?
