Movado 0606086 wrist watches news:
It’s been 125 years since the Statue of Liberty ¡ª a gift from the French to the United States to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence ¡ª was first erected in New York Harbor. To commemorate the occasion, Romain Jerome has created a new watch, called Liberty DNA, whose dial contains actual fragments of the statue. The eight-year-old Swiss brand, based in Geneva, collaborated with The Statue of Liberty-Ellis Island Foundation, a non-profit organization devoted to raising funds for restoration of the Statue and Ellis Island, and the Gold Leaf Corporation, which oversees the preservation and use of historic Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island artifacts, in developing the new timepiece, the latest in its “DNA of Famous Legends” portfolio. Issued in a limited edition of 125 pieces, the watch features a bronze bezel with 12 “spikes” reminiscent of those on Lady Liberty’s crown. Over time, the bezel will acquire a patina much lik
Although I do not like this version of the classic blue and gold sub, had anyone seen the new black and gold version of this watch? Perhaps JBH knows when this is due out. Maybe next year. As owner of a 1680 sub, and two seadwellers, my choice can down to the new GMT vs. the DSSD. Once I tried on the DSSD, it was OVER. OLD SCHOOL SUB ALL THE WAY

Hello,My first post here. I am saving up for my first Patek Nautilus for next year and will like to know what do you all think about the Patek 5726? I saw the timepiece in the Hour Glass Boutique in Singapore and it's selling for SGD53K including tax ( about USD43K ) for a Stainless steel model with leather strap and it looks gorgeous. I find the 5711 too plain looking while I have not much use for chrono and don't like the dual time. Is it worth paying a bit more for the full stainless steel bracelet? And should I go for a RG or WG version if exist? Here are some shots I took. I am also wondering if prices in Europe will be better. Thanks in advance!
Hi all-I'm approaching the process of sending my watch in for service. It's a 1988 168000 that I bought new and likely will send it off to Rolex as I have in the past. I was considering having them replace the bezel insert as there is missing paint on the top of the triangle near the pearl from some kind of 'encounter' over the years. It's not that big of a deal, but since I'm going to the trouble and expense it would be nice to have the watch looking it's best for the next 30 years. After spending some time here and learning a great deal, I've concluded that maybe it's best to replace the insert prior to sending it off as I'm told that Rolex doesn't return the original parts and I'd like to keep the original insert.I've been poking around and while I haven't found one yet, expect that at some point I may be able to find a period correct replacement. I think I understand the differences in the number font, i.e.- old to new style, especially in the '4' shape, so will keep an eye on that.
