Broken Omega Automatic: Is it worth fixing?
Hello, I am sort of a newbie when it comes to timepieces , so I'm obviously not going to be versed in timepieces at all, so I figured I'd ask a forum that might have a clue as to whether or not it's worth it to have my late grandfather's Omega Seamaster legitimately fixed.The main issue is that the knob has become separated from the stem, which has been "repaired" using superglue (Whilst it was being used by my dad when I was too little to inherit my watch) .Here is the watch as it currently is: The knob is sitting in acetone to get rid of the superglue, and I'm occasionally applying acetone to the outer part of the stem to try and removed superglue from it as well.IMG_1729.JPGIMG_1731.JPGP1370189445-1-X.jpgDial with the knob superglued to the "stem" (My dad's idea of how to remedy the problem)Other issues:When the stem is pulled out, the seconds hand keeps on going.When trying to set the watch the hands occasionally get stuck (Especially the minute hand.) Help me decide on a new strap or bracelet.
As I stated in the daily wrist shot thread, this was pretty much my first decent watch, and the one that taught me to appreciate watches in general. I've almost gotten rid of it a couple times, but couldn't bring myself to do it since the watch has been on every single dive that I've ever been on. The original rubber strap eventually dry rotted and broke off a little at a time. (I'm guessing due to age and exposure to massive amounts of sea water). I eventually put the watch in a box and forgot about it for a couple years. I ran across it one day after moving, took it out and had a cheap bracelet put on it...basically because it looked so pitiful sitting with only a couple inches of rubber strap clinging on for dear life.I do, on rare occasions, wear the watch...but absolutely loathe the bracelet. It's a Speidel, and just feels light and cheap, so I'm thinking about going back to an original rubber strap or another nicer bracelet. Just looking for some thoughts and suggestions as

Need Help With A Masonic Dial
Being a Freemason, I collect lots of Masonic items. Rings, Watches, old Past Masters Jewels, you get the idea. Recently bought a vintage Hamilton Masonic dial for a great price. On the envelope it says "747" and under it 95749. Could the 747 be the Hamilton movement number??? It's small and rectangular like the Hamilton dials from the 40's. It has the place for the sub hand, and on the back of the dial are two protruding pins at 11:00 and 5:00. Any ideas???

Vintage IWC Schaffhausen Automatic SS Watch: Help ID?
I just picked up this vintage IWC Schaffhausenautomatic SS watch and I know nothing about it, yet. I was hoping my local jeweler could take the back off for me so I could get the serial number, movement no., etc., but he felt it better that I send it to my watch guy and let him handle it. It obviously needs a new crystal but is otherwise running very strong. I will leave it up to the watch specialist to decide what work it needs, but in the meantime, any chance anyone can give me some information just from these few photos? My curiousity is killing me! Thanks.
