Longines L4.709.4.11.6 wrist watches news:
Just curious, I know this probably sounds stupid, but what the heck is that extra hand for on the GMT? I really am not much of a gadget person and I like the simple things in life. I guess that is why I could never warm up to the Daytona. I could never figure out all those functions on the watch. I have trouble with the date function on my watches. I also could never understand if you pay $20,000.00 for watch, why can't Rolex, or any other manufacturer, develop a date system that recognizes 28 days in February and the other months with 30 days instead of 31. I mean, is it really that hard to develop such a thing?Rob
Hi everybody! After a couple of years of research and contemplation I placed my order for a 116710LN to my AD last April. Finally in October I received the long awaited call that my GMTIIc has arrived. A few days ago I was able to collect the precious thing and oh boy what a gem it is in real life! I is a different story to look at pics on the internet than to actually have one on your wrist. My first amazement is the accuracy of the watch. My previous automatic watches have all had a deviation of at least a couple of seconds per day. This GMTIIc however seems to be spot on! Daily deviation is practically zero and only couple of seconds in a week!esa.jpg
Hi, im not much of a oris collector although i love the fact there your best band for your buck :P, i have purchased for my other half a bc3 but i was at the AD and just wanted to know if any one has the bob dylan oris? one of the sales person said the best part of it was the gorgeous box. dont mean to offend. i was just wondering any thoughts?? im thinking of getting one bob is a big hero of mine and i love unique dials like the wave pattern just like my smp. its a relitivly cheap watch just wanted to know spexs and whether its worth it or go for another one??
Hi All,I am new to the forum and wanted to share my newest acquisition. I can't say enough about how happy I am with this amazing piece! Just reinforces the many reasons I love Breitling's so much.1.jpg2.jpg3.jpg
Last night I won a very exciting, interesting and 'rare' wrist watch. OK, I thought, this is pretty 'rare' then after a bit of research, I got thinking is this 'rare' or is it 'very rare'?After much deliberation, I came up with following definitions:1) 'Ultra' RareThis would be a watch, that is so 'rare' either for its scarcity, or its 'horological' importance, like design or who made it.'Ultra' rare means maybe maximum, one or two exist, it MUST BE, of huge instrumental importance, to the progress in 'horology'And would probably be a 'Museum' piece.A, '1 of 1' would not necessarily fall into 'Ultra' Rare if it was not of immense 'Horological' importance!Ike's father has pieces like this, that Museums are begging for.2) 'Very' RareThis would be a watch, that is fairly rare, maybe a few pcs exist, but in (say) 35 yrs of collecting you (personally) may come across two pieces.I would put The Rolex Didactic (1933) in that league. Why? Because, I have found only one other, and the man wh
