Longines L4.513.0.12.6 wrist watches news:
Hey guys,Well, I finally bit the bullet and bought it!I've got a few pics for you guys, and it seems great.
Is it typical for an AD to order one particular watch from the distributor if a customer walks in and wants a watch that they don't have in stock? And would having them order it reduce the possible discount I can get out of them?Thank you all,(Newb buying his first watch)And it is relevant to this brand forum because said watch is a Breitling :)
Look at this dial:cgi.ebay/1945-LONGINES-WW...ht_7540wt_1167I think the watch must have been redialed as a class project. :D Don't get an eraser too close to the "Longines"! At least the seller doesn't say it's original.
I know this is a loaded question, but what do you think about the future of the new Spectre model in terms of availability and value? I thinking I want to get one, but am not keen on paying retail (which is basically the only option now) but I'm also concerned if I wait until it's come down or forum dealers have it, they might have already been all snapped up by collectors.I know it's hard to predict, but I can't really get a read on previous 007 models, plus IMO this is the best one they've ever done in terms of being much more subtle/etc.Will normal ADs get these or will they be boutique only?
Stumbled across a vintage watch shop in Ginza called NJ Time during my watch hunting that wasn't already on my research list. They had lots of vintage pieces (1675, 1019, 16750, 6263, 1665, 1680 etc) but wondering if anyone has experience with them.
