Deployant or Deployment
Okay, can anyone clear this one up? I have seen a fairly even split in postings describing bracelets/clasps that either talk about a deployant clasp or a deployment clasp.I can't find any dictionary or encyclopedia that defines deployant (after a quick online search). I even tried French & German since I figured Swiss watches have these influences in terminology, but - Nada, nothing, zero, doughnut, zip.So, opinions/help please - is there such a word as deployant?Probably a strange thing to wonder, but I'm curious about the origin of this word.Cheers.

sorry if this is a stupid question, but I am new to Patekhow important is it to have the papers with a Patek?i am asking because i have seen a blue dial 5711 for around $4000 off the regular price, but it is lacking the papers... i can see reasons for them being more important than say with a rolex but if the lack of papers is reflected in the price, and considering this is one of the more basic pateks, would this make the deal worth considering?thanks

My First Step Into PP
After many years of collecting a variety of watches - mostly Rolex and Panerai, I finally took my first step into this world of Patek, and all I can say is wow. Restoring 16750 Explorer II besel paint
Thanks to the TRF, I've found some good techniques to restore/repaint my Exp II besel. The overall condition of the besel is good but it looks like it was refinished at certain point during previous ownership and some of the numbers are not so deeply etched, at least to what I see.Before purchasing a new besel I will try to restore the current one.
