Hi all,I am new here, and I posted on the beginner's forum a request for suggestion about a nice black dial 1958 watch (my birth year) that wasn't too much expensive. I got advices about Benrus, Gruen (but these seem very difficult to date), Omega, Longines and Bulova. So today I was looking on ebay, just to familiarise with some of these watches. Searching for Omega constellation on ebay, I found two very nice black dial 1958 watches that seem to me a bit too nice to be all original/year correct/genuine. But I don't know practically anything about these watches, so I'd like that someone here could take a look and tell his opinion. Thanks. The first watch is this: VINTAGE OMEGA CONSTELLATION S/STEEL 505 CALIBER BLACK PIE-PAN DIAL NICE WATCH!!! They don't even talk about a refinished dial, mmm...The other one is this: MAGNIFICENT 1958 OMEGA CONSTELLATION DATE - X-HAIR DIAL - SIGNED 5X - SERVICED P.S. I'm adding here another one from german ebay, but there are very little specifications
Hey everyone,I'm looking for a bit of assistance here. If anyone has a Longines butterfly deployant, perhaps you could help me out.I just won this auction on ebay for a Longines alligator strap and deployant clasp. This is the auction:cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...E:L:OU:CA:1123I'm a bit confused as the model # on the clasp ( L639119706 ) corresponds to a butterfly deployant with dual pushbuttons when I do a google search. The one in the auction seems to be a friction fit.Does anyone have a Longines deployant clasp that is a friction fit, versus using the dual buttons? It seems odd that Longines would use the same part # for two different clasps. To make matters a bit more confusing, if you look at this ebay auction (a different seller).LONGINES genuine deployment buckle He has 3 different types of Longines clasps for sale (steel, pink gold and yellow gold). If you look at the 4th picture, you will see that it appears to be a friction fit clasp whereas the other pictures (the steel a
Hey guys-Any idea what kind of watch Joey Lawrence is wearing?(looking forward to Pampers jokes as well).
I'm at a crossroad fellas...I have an opportunity to receive my holy grail watch of all times but just don't know if I can take the plunge! My 116680 is absolutely mint and the same for my S/S Blancpain Fifty Fathoms but so is the blue face Patek. I have been collecting Swiss timepieces for almost 25 years and after all this time I still have not had the chance to acquire a PP until now. Any thoughts would surly be grateful on my behalf
