- Very Difficult to use, especially when the altimeter constantly needs recaliberating. And once it was recaliberated, the temp would read +90 F when it was really 50 F outside

TAG Heuer CAV511 wrist watches news:
Greetings, Friends. My very first Rolex was a sub-date I purchased back in June 2006....of course the "bug" hit me like crazy and I have bought and sold many over the past two years.Well, I gave my original sub to my brother for safekeeping while I went overseas....I had intended on taking it back, but he loved it so much I just couldn't do it.So, based on the current status of the economy, there are some serious deals to be had! Here is what the postman brought my way today! My new (used) Z-Sub....The mandatory wrist shot Now I will have to decide whitch one to wear next month to the Tampa GTG!Hope you all have a great Sunday evening and thanks for looking!-Aaron
Back from the watchmaker with a new crystal, a new crown and stem, and a new hairspring. The watch case is 14K white gold filled. The movement is Elgin's 23 jewel manual wind mechanism. It is adjusted to 6 positions. The watch cleaned up very well and the case back just shows a bit of wear, but looks surprisingly nice. It cleaned up very wellThe watched shipped with a 14K white gold capped Speidel expansion bracelet with black inserts. As Genejockey described some of his bands, this one looked like it was toxic. It took an hour of removing the inserts and taking a toothbrush to every nook, but it cleaned up nicely as well. I think I would have tossed it if it just didn't match the watch so well. The only thing that wasn't restored were the lume dots and the lume on the back of the hands (Elgin called watches like this their Nite Glo models). The movement was so dingy when I sent it in, now it looks like new!
Just received our his and hers black ceramic 300 M watches. They're simply gorgeous! The watch has a 3D look to it that my old Bond SMP didn't. The bezel looks like Hematite, and gives the watch a much dressier appearance. Of course it still pulls off casual with ease. Here are a couple of iPhone photos.
I bought the Omega GMT as a cheaper alternative to the GMT Master and I still hope I will own a GMT Master (old style) before I die, but I have been very pleased with the SmP GMT and at the risk of boring you guys, here is what I like about it's design. But first a picture or two. (Oh no, not again you say). Now why I like the watchIt's pure function over design:- Oversized markers on a black backround are very easy to see in poor lighting conditions- Layers of Superluminova make night vision easy- The 24 Hr hand is red making it easy to see the 2nd timezone at a glance- Boxed date lead the eye quickly to the date function- Oversized military style hands - again easy to see in all lights and no light- Two tone bezel is not essential but gives a quick estimate of night and night- Crown is deeply recessed for protection and the bracelet is nice, but not flashy.- Non hacking adjustable hour hand and a bezel for a third time zone make this a real GMTWhat traveller would want more? Now, why
I own a Rolex Sub-C 116610 and an Omega Speedmaster 3750.50 and I'm thinking about selling off the Speedmaster and using the proceeds to get me started on my first Panerai. The thing about picking out a Panerai is that they seem to have quite a few products with an overwhelming amount of reference numbers compared to Rolex. I want a watch that can go with a suit and I think I've narrowed it down to an IWC Portuguese chronograph or something from Panerai preferably around 42mm or 44 at most, I'm just not sure I can pull off one of the really huge watches. I'm trying to build a decent watch collection let me know what you think would work in a two watch collection with the Sub-C which I think I will never sell.
