Just in Jean Cardot diver early 1970's. I got this watch because I liked the look and condition of it; and the price was right. Jean Cardot a French company produced watches from the 50's into the 70's. At first the company used Swiss and German movements and cases. In the 70's they started getting there cases from Hong Kong and the movements where Asian or Russian. At first I did not know whom made the movement until I saw the symbol on the movement. The movement is Russian a Vostok (Boctok).

Firstly, I would like to give a quick shout out to JorgeCCW and thank him for his thread Conversion from hoarding all brands to Patek which has influenced me enormously, and without which I probably wouldn't have gone on this little trip.Secondly, for the sake of simplicity I have put all figures into US$ at today's spot rates:$1 = 0.804 Euros$1 = 0.966 CHF (Swiss Francs)************************************************** ***************************Today I spent the day in Geneva, which for me is about a 2 hour drive from home. I have been familiar with the city for years and know my way around....although as far as watches are concerned up until now my interest was exclusively in Rolex. It was never my idea to return home with a new watch....not today anyway.....more a case of deciding what I want next. FYI, I was fairly well dressed and wearing my WG Day-Date.Simply to give myself a warm-up I stopped first at Montres Prestige at the Kempinski Hotel. It is supposedly an Audemars Pig

Hi guys I was considering buying my wife a watch, now decided to go the quartz route instead of automatic from your guys great advice. She not a watch nut and might not wear daily and I can see my self setting it for her regularly. Any feed back on breitling quartz? was looking at the galactic 32. Whats the longevity for quartz? are they easy to have fix? thank you all for your great feedback.
