Ulysse Nardin 263-66-7/623 wrist watches news:
Hi, just purchased my first Rolex and would appreciate some help from the members. The watch is new and was purchased from a certified dealer and shipped to my home as there insn't a dealer here. Questions I have are:- I need to adjust the bracelet, should I attempt myself or take it to a jeweller? - The dealer sent me a card with the SN, model, seller referenced, is there anything else I have to do to register for warranty with Rolex?- I noticed that on some sites it showed a hologram covering on the back of the watch, mine only had a clear plastic sheeting along with small plastic insets on the braceletis this normal for sea dweller packaging?- Any other suggestions or recommendations would be greatly appreciatedtks in advanceBC - CAN
The end of Spring and start of Summer began a basement cleanup at my wife's parents home. She pulled this little gem out of a box that we had posted in the FREE section of Craigslist. Meanwhile, several trucks pulled up to haul away 70-80s typewriters, skis, ski boots, roller blades, chairs, tables, desks, stereo speakers, etc. I was thrilled my wife spotted this for me. Here are pictures from Saturday before any work has been done on it.Some work needs to be done on the caseback. Some gummy residue and discolouring.Bezel is tight from years of not turning. I loosened everything up in a "Spa"dip of warm water and dishwasher soap before I began any polishing. My OM finally has a brother. A Pepsi brother to relate with! (ps I still want the TUNA CAN SBBN007 though!) Then they will be the 3 Musketeers. Now all I have to do is get a battery into this. That was today's task! lmk what you all think.
I was setting my WTF watch today and I noticed an issue with the hacking feature. When I pull the crown, it takes 2-3 seconds for the seconds hand to stop. When I push it back, it restarts after a second or jump up 2-3 seconds. It makes it almost impossible to synch it to another time source.Anybody else having this issue? Thanks...Marc
Did any of you guys move completely from rolex to Patek?I made the decision to go for 5070g several weeks ago and have a few people searching for a good example at a reasonable price for me. Although not imperative, i have been thinking about letting go some of my other watches that get less wrist time. Gilt 4 line 5512 that i baby too much and a few others. I have a well worn Maxi 5513 as a daily that goes everywhere with me and actually i get more satisfaction from.Did any of you end up moving from vintage ( or modern) rolex or other brands to solely Patek?
