Longines Longines 4778 wrist watches news:
On September 22nd, the Chopard Group (which includes Chopard, the watch and jewelry maison, as well as Fleurier Ebauches, SA, the movement manufacturer) announced the very first timepiece from La Chronométrie Ferdinand Berthoud. La Chronométrie Ferdinand Berthoud is a new business for the Group – it was first announced in 2013, and its first wristwatch represents what co-presidents Karl-Friedrich Scheufele and Caroline Scheufele (brother and sister) hope will be the first in a series of wristwatches inspired by the life and work of Ferdinand Berthoud. These watches are intended to be a no-holds-barred exercise in luxury watchmaking, and will occupy a commensurate price point, but according to Karl-Friedrich Scheufele, whom we interviewed at the launch event at the Yacht Club de France, Chopard also hopes to stimulate interest in, and awareness of, one of the most important figures in the history and evolution of the marine chronometer. 1 OF 17 Ferdinand
Hi, I'm new here, I would love to get some suggestions & input regarding 3 watches I have. I just came back from a Vintage watch dealer. I took several watches in that were left to my husband & I. The one I am most interested in is the Waltham ladies wristwatch. The dealer opened it & the serial#270643.. confirmed the year 1928-29, he also stated that it is 14K white gold...not gold filled? It has a "link" wristband by Hadley which says pat. pend 12012KI was told it could cost about $350.-$400 to restore. Would this be an appropriate cost to restore? I also have 2 Bulova mens watches cira 1940's. One is a Bulova PGF Curvex Style 14K gold filled. I found the exact same one I have online for sale $1250 Mine doesn't run.( that's my luck ) The other Bulova cira 1940's is 10K gold filled. It runs but doesn't stay running very long! Any info would be greatly appreciated.
I got my new additions bought the last month. Finally are all hereI love them all, please don't compare the Omega with the others Pictures are from the web (copyright from their owners), as I don't have my camera with me, but you can have the ideaOf course that they look far way better in real lifeSeiko SGEC73Seiko SGEC17Fossil CH2507And the most beloved in all the collection, Omega Speedmaster Broad Arrow 3551.50.00, astonishing, I got blind when I saw this in real life, what a watch!!! Still have one more in the way, a very nice SwatchAs you can see, I love the mix, I'm like Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, collecting sons from everywhere I have a very hard bite from the buying bug, but I have it controlled by now, as I don't have more money
Im in love with the dial and hands. And anybody know if the bezel can be replaced with a blue one?Thnx in advanceMondo
Can someone with actual knowledge on the matter please shed some light on the affect or lack thereof having chrono (timer) on all the time... I love the hacking seconds hand look of any automatic watch but the red hand on the YMII is always fixed position unless (I know the subdial is the actual seconds hand however it is practically unnoticeable) the countdown timer is engaged and I don’t really care for it like that in static position.... you think it will damage or wear down the movement much sooner, also what happens to the mechanics of it once the countdown hits 0 from 10 and it if stays engaged..
