- What a great looking watch. I bought this for my Mother -- she likes a face that's easy to read, and this one fills the bill. Running well. Overall, a good value.

Maurice Lacroix Maurice Lacroix 48868 wrist watches news:
The new Audemars Piguet watch strikes the eye with its light pink mother-of-pearl dial. It boasts scintillating diamonds, which form a charming outline for the petals of the flower, featured at its center. The flower stands out against a background, inspired by rippling water. The diamonds are joined by pink sapphires. The display indicates central hours, minutes and seconds.
I am powerless to resist a vintage chronograph in good shape, particularly if it has an original or whimsical element to the design. Here's an Eska - brand name of S. Kocher, "ess-Ka" being the way you would pronounce the initials of the manufacturer in German. It's not a brand with a particularly distinguished reputation - an etablisseur (watch assembler) rather than a manufacture - but I always watch out for Eskas because there is often something quirky or weird (good-weird!) about their designs. In favor of the purchase: - The contrast between blue hands and bronze face - Batman hands! - A dial strongly reminiscent of a Vacheron that once caught my eye - odd flanged lugs - pretty decent shape overall - 38mm - really decent price on the 'bay...who collects Eska?Against the purchase - couldn't think of anything
Hey guys!So as a newbie into the AP world, I would love for you guys to critique this 14790 I am looking at. (regards to case, bevels, overall condition). Now I am not naive enough to expect a 30 year old watch to be in pristine condition, however I am wondering if you guys think that this watch is in decent shape. I would love to hear your opinions/inputs.It is a very early ref 14790 at 36MM. Love to hear your thoughts. Thanks in advance!
Hey! New to the board. Wanted to stop by and introduce my Breitling Bentley Mark IV. I was captivated by it from the moment I saw it.However the watch has let a troubled life. The day after the 2 year am warrantee expired it started running fast. 4-5 minutes gained each day. Breitling honored the warrantee and conducted a service. For the next 2 years (see a pattern yet) the watches worked fine but then started gaining 4-5 minutes a day and sung quickly when taken off. Again off to Breitling where I was charged $450 for a service.Another 2 years later the watch just stopped while I was wearing it. Not good. So I took it back to Tourneau who sent it to Breitling. Apparently there was a lot of back and forth, Breitling sent the watch back no less than 4 times. Then when it was tested at Tourneau it didn't meet specs so back to Europe. For nearly 6 months it was back and forth. Was beginning to wonder if they were just going to give up and give me a new one.Two years after
Hey Folks-Was just watching a video about Tiger Woods and his DSSD, which got me thinking if any celebs sport the SD43...I tried doing some digging on the inter webs but couldn't find anything. Has anyone seen one of these on a wrist of someone we may all recognize? Just curious really!
