Jacob & Co. E3rgr wrist watches news:
I have just posted this in the General Forum, but it is regarding Rolex watches specifically, so here's the link to the article.(Sir Edmund Hillary was the first to successfully ascend/descend Mt Everest in 1953, and had a long association with Rolex over the years. I guess you could say he was one of the first 'brand ambassadors'). Sir Ed died in 2008 and his wife has now put up his Rolex watches for auction.
Not sure how reliable is this news... forums.timezone/index.php...=2#msg_7480038Those two newer design looks like smashed-up transformers.
I asked last week whether I should settle for the easy-to-find 2054/2254 or wait for a 42mm PO and the consensus was to wait for the one I truly wanted. I'm happy to report I waited (4 excruciating days) to find this one and I love it. This is a graduation present to myself and I think I'll have it for a long time. Enough talking, here are a few crappy pics:Thanks for all the help making this decision.
I contacted my Omega dealer and it arrived today. At 41.5mm, it is a hefty piece weighing in at 155gms.I'll try to take some better photos over the weekend.Fr. John?
Lost it way back in 1988 in Chicago. Hoping for some info on whereabouts to buy it back
