Three Jaeger-LeCoultre timepieces co-star with Robert Downey Jr. in the soon to be released Iron Man 2. In the film, Downey, playing billionaire inventor Tony Stark, sports the Jaeger-LeCoultre AMVOX 3 Tourbillion in Platinum, a Master Grand Tourbillon 1833, and a Reverso Grande 985. I know this is the watch winder forum, but I just saw the nice review of the Orbita skeleton watch. I wish I could buy one but unfortunately they don't ship to canada. I called the head office and spoke to a very nice lady but no luck right now if anyone wondered.

South from Alaska
Got back last night from Alaska-Canada trip. On return found computer modem shot, HDTV bulb burned out; no other disasters. Modem replaced this afternoon, bulb will be next week. Took just under 1,000 photos! Wife bought a new watch - some dual time thingie that is also supposed to send out "earth signals" or some such nonsense to cool your psychic jets or vibes or nerves. Can't remember the name - Philip Roth or is it Stein? Anyhow, it's a yawner for me. Trip was great. Details to come, with pics.

If you had 2k laying around what watch would you buy
Need some advice for a possible next purchase.So I have been content being a one watch guy, but I would love having one more. Some things in life led me to that and no regrets could not be happier. Don¡¯t get me wrong love my Sub C date,but sometimes I get the itch for another fine piece. I had a good year at work and got a very nice bonus. After putting some in saving, adding to kids college funds etc I have a little that I could possibly play with. A lot of you guys know tons about watches and one reason I love this forum. If you had 2k what would you buy? Here are some parameters.White or blue dial Looks good on a brown or blue strap. I could possibly bump up to 2500 but ideal would like to be 1500-1700 especially preowned and need some cash for a service etc. I have always liked the Omega Aqua Terra¡¯s and some models might fall into my price range. Maybe a preowned Tudor?What else is out there? My biggest fear is trying to get something in that price range that is good q
