Hi all,I'm helping a friend find his first nice watch. He's interested in the Seamaster Professional GMT 2535.80.00 with the blue wavy dial, and we found one out of state. Is this model discontinued? Also, how much of a discount should be on this particular watch, BNIB? Thanks!
Was selling my 5170G and had a buyer for it and was about to wrap the watch for shipping. Before the last farewell I chose to set the time to the buyer's local time. Suddenly I started to hear some rattling inside the movement, I turned the watch over and saw a piece of metal going all over the place. It appears that one screw had got loose and popped out or cut in half. What is funny (well, not really) is that I took the first picture last Saturday and kept the watch in safe until yesterday when I just took a glimpse of it and it was still running perfectly without issues. Then put it back in the safe and today it's as in the second picture. Some might think I dropped the watch or did something humiliating to it, but sure I did not.I don't know if it's a torque issue with screw or faulty piece of threaded steel or whatever, but anyways this one is going back for service, luckily still under the warranty.
over the last 20 plus years. 2526 Calatrava was in my collection for over 4 years. Ref. 96 Calatrava in stainless steel from the 1940s as well. This old Patek is still in my possession. Reference 2452 Calatrava.
Hello all,First time poster here. I've been learning so much from everybody here. I've spent the majority of my time in the Patek subforum.I stumbled upon this cnn video of a comparison of Rolex vs Patek and thought I would share with the forums. It's very basic and most definitely does not go into details but it does give a glimpse into the WIS world.money.cnn/video/news/2014...l?iid=HP_RiverMark
