Maurice Lacroix FA2164-YP011-111 wrist watches news:
I picked this up today it's a Dubois circa 40s with a EPSA super-compressor case marked with the Trademark (diver's helmet) of Ervin Piquerez S.A. plus EPSA is stamped between the lugs. Only been wearing it since this afternoon but so far it is keeping good time for an older watch will leave it on all day tomorrow and then see. Trying to date the watch i can see it is marked with Anti-Choc (shockproof in French) now after a little research i found out this fact and i quote -"In May, 1947, the Federal Trade Commission declared that it was impossible to manufacture a completely shockproof watch, and outlawed the use of the term. The terms 'shock absorbent' and 'shock resistant' were permissible" 081013a.jpg 081013b.jpg
The "Hamilton" script sure doesn't look like any Flight II dial I've seen.....eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices
hi guys, i'm new to seiko but i want this watch.i need a watch for mountain biking and play tennis so it must be a cheap diver auto watch.i was going to get an invicta, but i actually own several, so i want to try seiko.whats your opinion on this particular model, thanks.is the lume as good as everyone says?is the movt durable and shock resistant?crystal hardlex?
I'm wearing this today:Supposedly it is a Russian mechanical chrono, though I suspect the movement is Chinese. However, I have been told by experts it is a Russian movement. So my question, which might be better suited for Asia, is which do you think is superior - Russian movements or Chinese?I'm on the fence on this one. Educate me, guys!
