And then there are the good fakes – those that may use some real parts, or tell a great story about how the watch may have sat in a drawer for 25 years. You know, like this steel Patek 1463 that we spotted on eBay back in September. Well, right now, there is another would-be dream watch online – this time with 127 bids and a price of over $24,000 with just about three days remaining. We'll break this fake down for you. 1 OF 3 That's that watch, up there. It's a Rolex Daytona Reference 6263 with black Paul Newman dial. Now if you know anything about Daytonas, you'll know a Paul Newman is worth over $100,000. With a black bezel, it's worth over $150,000. With screw down pushers and a white dial it is worth

Lottery/windfall watch
What would be at the top of your list if you were to receive an enormous windfall? Lets say over $55,000,000.As soon as the check cleared I'd head over to my neighborhood Rolex dealer and order three sequential serial number SS Submariners. Lowest number for my father, middle for me, and higest for my son. I think it would be nice. I wouldn't do it with anything much nicer than that because the SS Sub can be worn in nearly every situation. I might get sequential number L¨¹m-Tec Tungstens too . Because then I'd only have $54,975,000 left.

Hi Kids! It's been a while! I hate to be the guy that only comes around when he needs somethingbut I need something. After about seven years of 24/7 on my wrist, my Omega Seamaster 2254.5 needs some service.Probably just a clean, lube with a pressure check & timing. It worked perfectly right up until the spring of 2014 daylight savings time change. Since then it will run for a few hours and stop.The only local to me horologist is at least 8 months behind and estimates $250 to $300 without seeing it or asking a question.I'm not afraid to ship it to someone that is reasonable and trustworthy.Recommendations welcome!Thanks!Quick & dirty photo with no editing just for fun:

I've been trying to get one from one of our trusted sellers on eBay and the last 3 have been bid up to over $3000! Wow! Maybe I'll just get a new 3570 instead

Help me decide....
I am wrestling with a decision and was hoping to get some opinions. Note:Love all three references and looking forward to becoming a PP owner.I have a small handful of new and vintage Rolex, PAM, Seiko, etc. Same trusted seller for both options so both are safe buys.So here goes:Option A) A un-used, 2014, complete set...5146g (cream) and was thinking of adding a un-used 5167 (on rubber) to that order. A nice dress/sport combo. Option B)Came up at the last minute: A excellent/mint, complete set, several year old...5960p (gray) at a very good price. For an additional $5K (plus or minus), I can have the 5960p instead of the 5146/5167 combo. Do I wade into the pool with a combo or jump in with both feet with 5960?!
