Maurice Lacroix LC1113-SS001-130 wrist watches news:
The Frisland Classic is the latest new piece from Iceland-based JS Watch. What I think is generally amusing about the brand is that the traditional style of their watches casts a personality on the small company that doesn't precisely communicate who they are. Youthful, stylish, and full of a lot of character the people who run JS Watch produce these watches as hip traditional timepieces rather being stuffy and conservative themselves.Knowing that helps understand their collection as well as the them begin watches such as the Frisland Classic and the earlier Islandus 44mm that we did an watches-dealer review of here. With classic, handsome proportions the Frisland Classic is a bit smaller at 42mm wide in a highly polished steel case. At 12mm thick it isn't an ultra-thin watch but should rather wear "substantially" without feeling too thick. Love for this watch is going to be all about the dial. JS Watch adopted a lot of elements from tradition pocket watches in the design. In fact, it
Hi guys,I was hoping that someone could help me identify this vintage military style Hamilton CLD manual wind watch I have recently purchased for $100 US off eBay. It's a gift for my father and I was hoping to learn a little more about it before I gave it to him. I can't seem to find another model of Hamilton exactly like it, the seller has informed me it is 100% original and in working order; however, they can't tell me the series/movement number. The case is 30mm (without crown) and it's a stainless steel bubble back and it looks to have some type of crocodile watch band. I'm not expecting anything too spectacular because I only spent $100 but it would be nice to find out if it's even authentic. Does anyone know if the applied logo, markers, and hands on the SS PO 8500 are steel or white gold? It's always been my understanding that they're steel, but I just read a review stating they're white gold. If anyone knows for sure I'd appreciate a post!!
I'm new to the forum, but have been lurking for a while. This place is a fantastic resource for all things Rolex/Tudor. Great community you have here. Now onto my predicament... I purchased my first Rolex, a Sub 114060, back in August. The watch is really beautiful though IMHO it brings almost too much to the table in regards to bling factor for lack of a better term. It has gotten me more attention than I had thought it would. I would not be comfortable traveling to a lot of places with the Sub. I have also, strangely, not been able to get a totally comfortable fit on my 7 wrist after A LOT of trial and error. I feel like it wears a tad large as well. My dress is typically casual at work and at home.I have been eyeing the 16570 Polar for a good while now and I'm thinking about making a trade. The Polar prices have been on the rise recently as well. I like the idea of making the polar my one daily watch with a date, I think it will be lighter and more comfortable, and I feel l
