Hey all,I was presented an opportunity to buy the watch pictured below by a good friend of mine. A friend of his is selling it, along with the rest of his watch collection quick as he's going through a divorce and wants to sell them fast as he probably doesn't want his soon to be ex-wife getting any piece of them.Anyway, when I first saw a picture of it, I had thought it was a rubber clad (i'm still quite new to AP and have never owned one nor have I ever even had one in my hand. However, after seeing it in person, i realized that it was not a rubber clad due to it having a black dial with black sub dials. Naturally, it was the rubber bezel and rubber strap that initially made me think it was a rubber clad. My friend then mentioned that his friend had made a comment about the current owner having purchased it from a reputable Canadian grey market dealer (I did find some threads on TRF with quite a few people commenting on him being a standup seller) who replaced the original bezel (

Just wondering about the relative rarity of the blue dialed version of the Mark III Speedie Pro. I see a lot of black, and some silver, but rarely come across the blue variant? Any experts out there to help me out?Thx!

Officially a member of the BLNR , arrived today.
Like many members here I wasn¡¯t sure if should buy or waited for the Basel world. Glad I didn¡¯t waited. Bought my Daytona last week because I wasn¡¯t able to find any other sports model I wanted. Then; Last Friday, my dealer called to inform me a client didn¡¯t go thru with the BLNR purchase and gave me the priority. I slept on it, just spent 30+k for the Daytona not sure it I can spoil my self like that. Decided to move forward because the demand is there and I don¡¯t want to miss the chance, watch was sent overnight but the NY snowstorm caused a day delay. Just received today! Authentic 1972 Oyster Perpetual?
I came across a 1973 Oyster Perpetual Rolex for a little under $2,000. I had some questions regarding what a good price would be for a watch this old and with some heavy bracelet stretching. My friend said he thought the band was a fake, but the seller believed it authentic, I had a hard time deciding. This will be my first Rolex so I appreciate your help.
