Maurice Lacroix LC1087-SS001-160 wrist watches news:
Carl F. Bucherer’s triple-time-zone chronograph watch, the TravelTec, gets a matte-black makeover at Baselworld 2016. Previously available in steel and rose-gold variations, the newest version of the Carl F. Bucherer Patrvai TravelTec features a scratch-resistant black DLC coating. The wafer-thin but exceptionally durable DLC (diamond-like carbon) finish on the TravelTec is applied in a multi-stage process, enhancing both the scratch-resistance and shock absorption of the 46.6-mm stainless steel case as well as the stainless steel bracelet (which is outfitted with a black DLC-coated folding clasp). The dark, monotone look echoes that of the black dial, which displays three time zones simultaneously, the third by means of a central red hand pointing to a rotating 24-hour scale on the dial’s flange. In addition to the two chronograph pushers on the right side of the case, the watch features a monopusher at 10 o’clock that enables the wearer to set the third time zone in
There are a lot of boutique dive watches available right now, many sporting the same cases, dials and movements. Smaller companies can't afford the cost of a custom design, so after a while many look the same. UTS, on the other hand, makes its own cases from steel ingots; you'll not see their designs used elsewhere. An interesting mix of angular lugs and round body, the UTS cases wrap nicely around the wrist and have a massive 5mm bracelet as a matching option.UTS has recently announced a new addition to the 1000m line, the 1000m GMT using the ETA 2893 movement. Otherwise the same as the diver Ariel reviewed, (Ed. - readers, please note that contributor Paul Hubbard wrote this article) the 24h hand and small UTC track really add to the appeal of this watch. Available in a variety of dial and hand colors, the high-contrast white on black really does it for me.Add in the two year warranty, two-layer SuperLuminova lume, anti-reflective sapphire crystal and you've got a winner. Hi allI've read lots of posts on servicing 'shocks' and the more fragile nature (compared to Rolex) of a Royal Oak, despite it being pitched as a Sports watch.I'd be really interested to hear from you guys about your experiences in terms of wearing a Royal Oak as an every day watch, in terms of general bumps and bruises and the follow on servicing.I'm planning on having one primarily for work (and then a Nautilus for special occasions only) and keeping my Rolex for bashing around on a daily basis, but keen to see if anyone has tried the Royal Oak as their main daily wearer?
Thinking of getting myself an Omega Speedmaster triple calendar and I love the MK40. I think its a great casual/beater watch, how bout some of your input?
I already put a post in the Rolex section so won't put the same one here, just wanted the Patek fans to have a look if they want, so here's the link:.rolexforums/showthread.php?t=381374
