Ulysse Nardin Elects New Management
At an extraordinary general meeting held on April 27, Ulysse Nardin elected Chai Schnyder to become the new president of the Board of Directors. At the same time, the committee appointed Patrik P. Hoffmann to the position of CEO as successor of Rolf W. Schnyder. Rolf W. Schnyder, president and CEO of Ulysse Nardin, passed away unexpectedly on April 14th, 2011. Chai Schnyder, the widow of Rolf, holds a Master of Science in Manufacturing Engineering (Queen’s University Belfast, United Kingdom).Patrik Hoffmann has spent the main part of his professional career in the watch sector, and has been a leading member of staff at Ulysse Nardin for many years. Whoa! That was close.
I started to type up "FS: vintage 14K Hamilton Masterpiece" in the Sales Forum. As I was putting in the details, I read the small inscription on the back of the watch because that usually will tell you when it was made. Lo & behold it's from 1966 - my birth year! Imagine that. I went through a lot of trouble to track down an Omega from that year, and in the last few weeks I've discovered I have a Hamilton (this Bradford) and a Longines (Diamond Dynasty 2770) made then. Guess I'll have to pick another piece to flip.

A productive trip!
Well, besides going to the Phillies parade I had an interesting day. I spent a few hours at Sam's shop photographing a complete service for a coming installment of the Horology 101 series (I know, it's a gratuitous promotion). I took my Maurice LaCroix with me to see what we could do about the crown digging into the back of my wrist. He didn't recommend changing it, but asked me a few questions about how I wore it. I showed him that it was too tight on one strap hole and didn't have enough play to let the crown move when I bent my wrist back, but too loose on the next and would roll around my wrist. So he grabbed a punch and put a hole between the two and shazam! it was perfect. There were some other pleasant distractions during our breaks like this UltraChron 36,000 bph Longines automatic and a nice Aqua Terra:I have some great photos, but so many it will take a week or two to edit them. Oh, and the city was PACKED with throngs of red clad fans! What a fun day!

I have an AT chrono. What position does should the crown be in when self winding and what direction (clockwise vs counter) should it be wound? How often should it be wound and how many times do you guys recommend winding it? Thanks in dvance for the help.
