Where is your favorite venue for going to see as many vintage watches as possible? Shows, stores, other? Thoughts?I joined the NAWCC and hope to make a show in the future. Just wondered where others prefer to feed their addiction?
Hi allI had more or less decided on the 15400 black dial. Went to try it with my Wife. Great service and the lady recommended me to try other models. Bad moveTried the diver, the roo black theme with the red needles, roc. Really don't like the chronos, I prefer the clean lookThe diver actually made my heart sing. It's so comfortable and easy to wear. Love the size and most of all the wrist presenceStill like the 15400 cause of the details and the whole finishing from dial to bracelet is simply outstanding. But i know I can't wear that often. The Wife is on the 15400 side as she felt I look great with it and she doesn't like the diver cause of the rubber strap. She felt that the strap doesn't look good and commend the price point. What are your thoughts? If it helps I have a gmt2C, subC and a pam 372 currently
Stopped over in Curacao on a recent cruise, and spent a good bit of time in the local AP dealer there, trying on various RO and ROO models.Wow! Was really taken by the design and look of these watches, the level of detail and workmanship is first rate. I had not spend any significant time with AP prior to this trip. My DW really fell for the 47mm lady's offshore (that's gonna cost me down the road! ).The sales person who attended us was very nice, if not 100% knowledgeable about the watches. She stayed with us for more than an hour, and gave us a hardcover AP book when we finally left - even though she knew the prospects of an immediate sale were slim - our ship was leaving in a couple of hours.Anyway - what's holding me back at this point is the fact that I'm pretty happy with my Rolex sports models (the SubC gets most of the wrist time - best all-around watch I've ever owned). Outside of work, we lead a pretty active life, and I never have to worry about where I'm headed or what
