Seiko SNE213 wrist watches news:
I'm not sure what to do, right now it's a mix of being ****ed off and very, very saddened.I went to an auction today, a local estate. There was one watch I was eying the whole time. It was a nice 14k gold Hamilton mens watch. I don't know when it was made, but maybe the 20's? It was square-ish, engraved all around the bezel and even some on the lugs. It didn't have a strap. It had a clean 17 jewel movement and a nice (I think) original dial.It came up for auction mid-way through, and I was gona get it! It finally sold for 233$, and the guy I was bidding against was ****ED.After I got it I immediately put it in my car's glove box and went back inside. When I came back after it was all paid for my passenger's side window was smashed and the watch was gone!!! I don't know what else to do. I reported it already but I'm afraid it might be melted down. If anyone sees a suspicious-looking 14k white gold Hamilton pop up on the bay, let me know! The back was engravedC. H. GenesAnd it was solid 1
I was just wondering any members here have a watch that they wear at least once a day? I know it's kind of a dumb question but I was curious, so I thought I would ask. Me personally, my invicta grand diver gets worn at least everyday.
Hope the link works.youtube/watch?v=2L0g7...rogravity.html
Some interesting observations about the latest World Time Pateksparing the 5131R from last year with the latest release of the 5131R with the revised cities ring it is evident that Patek has changed the circumference of the circle on which the outer cities wording is based - it has been reduced to conform to the new slightly smaller circumference used for the 5230. First picture shows 2015 version of 5131R and 2016 version of 5131R - it is difficult to clearly see any size difference in the circumference of the outer wording of the cities ring.Second picture shows a combined 2015 and 2016 cities ring. The right hand half of the cities ring is from the 2016 version and the left hand half is from the 2015 version. The overlaid red lines correspond to the inner circumference of both lines of text of the cities ring of the 2015 model. The inner red line also corresponds to the circumference of the inner line of text of the 2016 cities ring. The blue line corresponds to the circumference of
FYI: if you're ever in geneva, and you consider yourself a watch nut, you owe it to yourself to go to the Patek Philippe museum. its collection of timepieces, which ranges from the 16th century to today, is unmatched anywhere in the world. three floors of pateks, breguets and hundreds upon hundreds of other masterpieces, including early 19th century automatons that will absolutely blow your mind. (the bird gun may be one of the greatest achievements of design and engineering known to man).seriously - if you're even close to switzerland, make a side trip. you'll be glad you did!
