My dads watch
Greetings folks! I'm hoping some of you experts can shed some light on this watch. It was my fathers watch, he passed over 20 years ago and the watch has been sitting in my gun safe since. I looked at ebay, but I can't find this exact watch. It’s a Seamaster 1430 in 14k gold. Any 1430’s I’ve seen are not gold (maybe I missed it). Most Seamaster’s I’ve seen have the logo on the back, this one does not. I also have attached a pic of the band. I'm not sure it's original to the watch. I appreciate any insight given. Elgin exposition case? What is this?
I came across this at my local auction house, came in a biiiiig box of stuff.Sorry about the crappy pictures, taking them at my desk rather than my 'photo booth'I did some quick searching but I can't find anything. It looks like it's made out of steel, both sides have glass (one of the round glass pieces is a bit loose), and the side is marked 'Elgin National Watch Co." They lock together, and by twisting one way you can pull the two parts apart easily. It looks to be about the size of a large pocket watch movement.It looks like maybe a pocket watch movement went in there, so you could see the face and the movement. There's no place for a stem or crown, but maybe it was just for display.I can't find anything like this, so if anyone could help that would be lovely! And, maybe a price would be nice to

Stupid n00b Question
i know this is a very idiotic question and im sorry but how do i set the date on the Patek?? LOL. i know how to on a Rolex by pulling the dial out just a tad before the time set, but the same set up does not work on my Patek. it looks very similiar to this one...thanks guys.

D Blue dilemma
Back in October 2017 I had an opportunity to purchase a D Blue but I passed because I purchased a watch in August and another watch in October so I thought it would be too quick for the D Blue but I spoke to my AD today and he told me I would get the next D Blue that he gets in but it would require a 50% non refundable deposit but my price would be locked in at today¡¯s price. He¡¯s willing to throw in a watch winder in the deal. I¡¯m wondering if I should pull the trigger now or wait for after Basel. What to do?Here¡¯s a wrist shot from October 2017 on a 6 3/4 wrist.
