Maurice Lacroix MP6528-SS001-330 wrist watches news:
What times we live in. Who would have ever thought to see a celebrity endorse a watch company's recruiting efforts. Sure we are all used to celebrities modeling watches, even attending watch public relations events. I even wrote about watch companies like Audemars Piguet making watches for US presidents, who then plug the brand (for charity).Well new ground has been broken, and I would pay good money to learn the buttering up process involved in getting George Clooney to adorn a watch maker's monocle (called a loupe) and lab coat for this photo shoot. Good thing Clooney looks perplexed in this shot, because while I am sure he owns a few Omega watches, he has never had any experience making them or working on them. Imagine the cajoling required to get him to wear this outfit. "Great shots of the De Ville Mr. Clooney, now put this on your face like soand wear this coat. Lets try it again. Picked this up at an auction yesterday. I think it's a mens, and doesn't look like it's been worn very muchI can't find any like it for sale though. It looks like an older quartz, maybe from the 80's?What do you guys think?
Hello AllI just came back from my jeweler with my father¡¯s vintage Hamilton and wanted to share a story and some pictures with you. As the story goes, the watch was originally given to my grandfather by my grandmother as an anniversary gift in the early 1930's. (We are not sure of the exact date as no one can remember that far back) After my grandfather¡¯s death, it was passed down to my father, who wore it everyday for many many years until his death in 2002, when it was then passed down to me. I have keep this watch under lock and key untouched since then but recently decided to have the watch serviced/restored. We replaced the crystal and strap, serviced the movement, and polished the case. I left the dial and hands as is, as I thought it would give the watch a more authentic look. I think it came out great, but I am also interested in your thoughts as well. After doing some research we believe this model to be the "Hamilton Cushion - Engraved". (If VintageHamiltons is out there, cou
