Has anyone ever put a Yacht Master on a strap? just wondering I was just looking at it today and thinking this watch would not look half bad on a nice black croc strap. Maybe I am nuts

Was curious if anyone could provide information on a men's square 14K gold Movado watch? Any idea of the year (1970s ?) or value?. Trying to determine if the gold is worth more than the watch, or if the watch has actual value (rare or mass produced ?). Bracelet does not fit me, so is it heresy to change the old gold bracelet to a leather band? Is there a market for old gold bracelet watch bands? Says Swiss Made, and has 14K stamps in a couple of places.
