OK everyone.. As a relative newbie to Patek Philippe (Ok, not so relative, just new ) I'm curious to hear what the first Patek Philippe was for those of you who own them. How did your Patek collection evolve after the first one?I've spent so many countless hours reading information & staring at pictures I've gone cross-eyed (Thanks a bunch Milos! ). Man these things are hard to pull yourself away from!I'm hoping to get my first Patek Philippe this year & have a very good idea of what it'll be. But I'd really love to hear from all of you on where you started down the Patek route, what road your collection went down & where you are today (such as did you start with a simple 3 hand, and then go to a complication or other way around)...Oh, and of course pictures are greatly appriciated!!!! Let's hear where it all started for you!

What watch would you wear to...
the emergency room? I was feeling a little under the weather and went to my Dr. He sent me over to the hopsital emergency room. Between IVs, CAT scans, X-Rays, and having other patients suffering from DTs around me, it was felt that I should remove my jewelry and let me wife take it home. The jewelry consisted of my dad's diamond solitaire ring and a Hamilton Cushion in 14k green gold (engraved on the back ?Montie, 1927"). I spent 7 days in the hospital without a watch (or decent cable package) and came out the othet end without my gallbladder. I'm now dressed again for a follow-up visit to my surgeon and am wearing my ring and a 14k pink gold Dorsey...hopefully I'll be able to keep this watch on today! While I was out, a 14k pink gold Midas showed up in the mail...have to have the wife take it in for repair as it showed up with a bad mainspring. At any rate, I'm glad my Hamilton stayed intact during my hopsital emergency room journey. Now, I ask myself, how should I reward myself for

1950 351 Bumper - Canadian Military Issued?
Hey all,Looking for some information. A few months ago I bought a large collection of items from a Canadian Army WW2 & Korean War veteran's estate - military uniform pieces, medals, binoculars, Zeiss camera, patches etc. When the box of stuff arrived, I found that the seller had included some extra items that he hadn't told me about. He threw in the man's 1950 Omega 351 Bumper. Stainless steel case, automatic, working. I've take some shots - they're not good but I'll blame our camera that is dying. :) The watch is nicer looking in person than in these shots. The watch has the veteran's name and service number engraved on the back, and it matches other military items in this collection that also have his name & number engraved on them, including his 1950 Zeiss Contessa camera. I don't have any information about whether Canada actually issued Omega watches to its servicemen. So here are my questions: 1. Did the Canadian military issue Omega wristwatches OR did this man
