Back in the 1980's and through the mid 1990's, it was all about luxury quartz watches. Brands would proudly adorn the "Quartz" identifier on their watches. At the time, Quartz was seen as a successor to mechanical watches for its obvious advantages in terms of accuracy, cost, and simplicity. Hi, Newbie, non-watch guy here. Looking to buy Aerospace or Emergency with Blue Angels dial. Any posts on value or sellers would be appreciated. Thank you.
I am a big fan of the Ploprof 1200 both as an everyday casual watch and because of it's place in the history of dive watches. I owned a Ploprof 1200 about 2 years ago and loved it but I was made an offer that I could not refuse to sell it! It is great to have one in my collection again. I like the way it looks on the oem orange rubber strap although I plan to wear it on the oem mesh bracelet. The Ploprof replaced the Rolex SDDS that I was wearing everyday.
I heard a rumor that only the 398/399 sets were sold... Anyone lucky enough to get one?
