In the Omega forum, Wilfreb asked "how important is comfort to you" when it comes to selecting a watch. I think it needs a little more exposure so let's open up the question for all brands and to everyone. I have a couple watches I really like visually of this group for example: The diamond dial wg Longines (second from left at the bottom) jumped at me the day I bought it and still is striking to me, but the band is just a little too stiff. I'm hoping it wears in but it's been worn quite a few times already. The "C" cased gold-capped Omega Constellation (top) is another great find, but for some reason it makes my wrist sweat even in temperate weather. I really love the Elgin gold filled watch (far right), and it's perfect with a suit but once again the band is sometimes uncomfortable and I need to take it off once or twice during the day. The other two are about as perfect as I have - the Hamilton Storm King (second from the right) and the Omega Seamaster (bottom left) are so r
I got to pick out a prize @ work, and this was the only "good" option. Anyone have any experience with this watch, or with Citizenin general?
I managed to get a few shoots of My new purchase tonight. Its the Aqua Terra London 2012 Olympic SE. 44mm Red Gold and SS case Blue Dial and alligator deployment strap. It joins my SS version in the same winder they look really good together. Thanks for looking Alan
I know that a lot of people don't get Panerai. The company has taken some self-inflicted flak through the odd marketing faux-pas and a sometimes crazy pricing strategy, and I've heard a few people write the brand off on the basis that all of their models are ugly. Well, I'm no fanboy (hmmm... maybe I am, just a little) but I do think I've been very fortunate to have owned the much vaunted Luminor 233, and to still possess its equally sublime Radiomir cousin, the 268. These watches are wonderful, both in terms of the majesty of the three-barrelled, 8 day in-house movements and the very obvious build quality. What I've learned, though, is that for my relatively slim wrists the Radiomir range gives me a more comfortable fit.The 268 is a 45mm watch, and whilst this is mitigated by the Radiomir lug design its still a relatively hefty beast. This, and some of the recent threads I've read over on TZ-UK regarding the smaller 42mm designs, prompted me to think seriously abo
