Maurice Lacroix PT6158-SS001-23E wrist watches news:
It is not unheard-of for a watch brand to issue a special edition of one of their watches to commemorate some special event - say, the 50th anniversary of a model being released, or the company having been in business for so many years. What is less common is to celebrate a milestone being hit by the master watch maker for the brand - but that is precisely what we have with the JS Watch Islandus 45 Anniversary Edition. In this case, the man being honored is Gilbert ¨® Guej¨®nsson who has been working on watches since 1970, when he started off in a provincial repair shop in Reykjavik. Since then, he's opened his own workshop (1977) and of course became the master of watch making for JS Watch Co., where he and his shop have been winning awards. So, what sort of watch do you create for a man such as this? Well, you start off with one of one their classic styles (the Islandus), and then you do some rather spectacular upgrades. For instance, take a look at the dial. The dial is made of solid St
I have a Blue Monster for a couple of years so far and I love the watch. I was looking at Amazon and I saw the Seiko SKZ245 for $187. It looks like a great watch and I couldn't pass on the price so I got it. Does anyone have this watch and give me some insight.Good DayKen
I'm hoping for some help identifying the name/type of watch, and possibly the value & repair options. I've attached a couple photos below. I think it is a SFC Sign Freres & Co./ Eterna SA from Grenchen, Switzerland. Given family history my guess is it was most likely purchased in the America, I could be wrong depending on its age. I have No clue of its age. Information I've found on the watch. (As best as I can read it anyway.)Inside "first" layer reads: Enterna W Co.Switzerland(in a shield) SFC(in a box) 0,935(Some type of animal stamped) Bear (or maybe Lion or Horse) 1734374Inside "Second" layer / gear opening: (in a shield) SFC0.935(Some type of animal stamped) Bear (or maybe Lion or Horse) 1734347BAttachment 32970Attachment 32966Attachment 32967Attachment 32968Attachment 32969moms camera aug 9 2012 1817.JPGmoms camera aug 9 2012 1819.JPGmoms camera aug 9 2012 1824.jpgmoms camera aug 9 2012 1829.JPGmoms camera aug 9 2012 1831.jpg
Got my first AP today, just in time for the new sub-forum :) I've been really intrigued by AP and all the AP enthusiasts in TRF definitely got me more interested in the brand and their watches.I wanted to add a chronograph to my small collection as I've never had a chrono before, and after seeing the panda ROC in the forums I knew that was the one, and once I saw it in person at an AD I knew there was no turning back...and that it's a matter of time before I own one.And today I finally own my very own AP ROC - my first AP and actually my first white dial watch. I won't go into much details about this watch since it's familar to many of you, but I will say that this watch is a great size for my wrist, love the thickness of the watch (I like that it's slightly thicker than the 15300), and although it doesn't have a display back, I think the ROC has one of the nicest solid casebacks around. And I can look at the bracelet all day.Very excited and just thought I'd share a few photos with
Hi guys, saw this watch the first time about a month ago, and I really like it. Saw it IRL and it looks very good, the local AD is bringing one in for me to try on.But I'm reluctant to buying it new, it will be such a loss of cash when I decide to flip it, so wondering if any of you have seen it pre-owned somewhere...222.18.46.20.01.001Thanks, nejo
