A runners watch - I bought this watch because of the dual interval timer. On long runs, I like to take a 1 minute walk after each mile. This feature allows me to do this with no need to watch minutes. The feature was easy to set.

A pricy restoration?
I have recently inherited an old and water damaged Seamaster memomatic C. 1972. I am currently getting quotes from local watch restorers in Norwich to bring it back to life. So far it looks like it's going to cost more than it's worth but I really cherish it and would like to make it a family heirloom. So would love to know if anyone has had such a complex watch like this brought back to it's former glory? How much that cost? and who in the UK does a great job for sensible prices? We're talking a dial restoration, a new alarm pusher, new glass, new winding crown, new back seal, new strap AND a movement rebuild! replacing rusted parts or swapping out with a working movement or combining the two. Ok, this started out as a question: Which Omega to wear on your motorcycle? I notice there seem to be, from the looks of the avitars, a number of riders (er, motorcyclists) out there. Have any of you ever created an extra hole in a Patek strap? I recently picked up a 5712R and it seems too tight or too lose. I saw in a previous post that the composite strap holes were lined up in between the leather strap. I might just switch to it instead of making a new hole. Also, how do you remove the clasp from the short end?
