I am sometimes asked, how do you find a nice pie pan Constellation for a reasonable price? We all know that if you go to a upper end vintage shop, such Somlo or Austin Kaye, they will be happy to show you a fine specimen of your choosing. However, they will (rightfully I might add, as they are not a charity) charge you a pretty penny for the service.Another way is to scour the for sale ads on the watch forums, internet and eBay in hopes of getting lucky. This of course can be very frustrating and take a lot of time. Many folks give up in frustration. They are out bid, the item is pulled for private sale, they discover it is a redial after vetting it among the forum pros; in short, a lot of effort does not necessarily get them the watch of their dreams.I would suggest that a modification of this approach can yield success. About To Buy My First Vintage Omega Seamster
Hi everyone, I just want to work out some pre purchase jitters here from an Omega newbie.So the watch I'm looking at is a 1959 Seamaster caliber 591, model number 14704. It has some dings and some patina on the face, but is in overall good working order and keeps time well. It has recently been cleaned and lubricated with a new o ring installed. The genetman is asking $350 for the watch. I know it's difficult without looking at great photos, but I did attach 1. So as a ball park is this reasonable? Expensive? Advice me: Trying to decide between two watches
Hello, I want to buy a new watch. I already own a IWC Big Pilot 5004 and a Panerai 312.I want to buy a diver and I narrowed it down to two watches because these two I can afford at the moment.1: Omega Seamster Planet Ocean Chrono black on steel or rubber bracelet (new 2015 model).2: Panerai sub 305 (2013 model complete with box and papers in very good condition).I am a Panerai lover but I also like to have different watches. I find it hard to decide because by heart I am not sure which one I like the most.The Omega ticks all the boxes, is a new watch and is a true tool diver. The 305 is one of my favourite Pams and is maybe more versatile with all kind of straps ect.I think I like the Pam better when looking at the dial, but overall the Omega has more to offer when looking at the price.
