i just noticed the owner of the site has taken a banned poster and altered his signature to mock him. i'm actually shocked at this. i didn't think the internet could surprise me anymore.

Just Arrived: 1953 Elgin De Luxe with Before and After pics
SFwatchguy asked for some before/after pics. This one was just dirty. The crystal needed to be buffed, but the pictures really don't show how it looked before.How it looked when I got it:Dirty dialGunk between the ridgesOne last look at the dialAfter using a soft brush via dremel, a toothbrush, and my finger nails, and a buffed crystal, here are the after pics:Ended up putting it on a Speidel center expansion band. Thought it matched the coin edge of the case, somewhat. On the dial, I used a slightly most Q-Tip and dried it up with a lint free cloth. In the process, I noticed several of the hour hash markers were loose. I ended up glueing them back into their tiny little holes and lined them up best I could.I'm not sure the photos convert how shiny the case is. A light buff really brought the shine out. The hour markers and hands are just as bright.So anyway, the case is 10K gold filled and absolutely has not brassing. I love the coin edge. It uses an adjusted 682, 17 jewel m

Follow-up on Renato Rip Off Report
There may actually be some veracity to the statements made by the guy from Albany. Jim Skelton has made a statement advising Renato Diamond watch recipients that the case-backs themselves will not be marked with the G color VS clarity designations any longer, and to contact Renato directly for further details. Earlier it was explained that the FCC would not allow appraisal certificates to be "shown" on live TV, and hosts were forbidden from stating the diamond quality, but rest assured the product you would receive is still the same and would be designated on the case-back. Now the case-backs will be absent any and all diamond descriptors. Has Renato just been caught doing something unseemly?
