Maurice Lacroix MP7009-PG101-110 wrist watches news:
A few months ago, I read (well listened to, actually - thanks, Audible) a really cool book called The Martian (written by Andy Weir) that I later learned is about to be a "major motion picture." I mean, listen, I consider anything by Ridley Scott that involves space to be a major movie. Matt Damon plays the lead character whose name is Mark Watney, and apparently, he is going to wear a Hamilton watch in at least part of The Martian movie. The funny thing is that, because I haven't seen the movie yet - and because the pictures available from the film aren't particularly illustrative of Watney's wristwatch wearing habits (when he isn't wearing a space suit) - I don't really know how prominent this Hamilton Khaki Navy BeLOWZERO watch is in the movie. Though, I hope it gets some good screen time. Hamilton has confirmed to watches-dealer that Matt Damon will indeed be wearing the watch in the movie. Those who know watches will probably be asking themselves "isn't that a relatively old (though
This weekend I created another photograph with some of my favorite items I tend to have with me daily - I think you'll like it:A Few of My Favoite Things | Luxury Tyme: The Rolex Reference PageIt was a surprisingly difficult photograph to create - for those who are interested in photography, there's a "how I made it" discussion thread over on the WATCH TALK FORUMS Photography Forum:.info/foru...orum/46459.htmEnjoy!
After my Mother died, I was given my Grandfathers watch. On the face it says Longines, with the logo beneath. It has a sweep hand below the regular hands. The chrystal is pyramid shaped when viewed from the base. The chrystal makes a "crease" down the middle making it a bit awkward to read. The inscription on the back is from the bank for which he worked, honoring him for 25 years of service through 1955, so I assume it was purchased in that time range. I have been all over the web, and cannot identify it. I would be truly honored to know if anyone here can tell me more. I have uploaded a couple pictures. Thank you so much in advance!
Bought this Airflight today from the seller I got the Gruen Day-Night from last week. Then I found an original expansion band for it. The bank account is starting to protest, so I've got to take a break for a while. All photos are from the sellers. The obligatory wristshot will be posted later in the week.
Got this earlier today..speedmaster ref 145.022 69stIt's got the rare caseback, and is now fitted on a brown vintage leather strap :-)Only downside is the newer service-hands.. But the old original hands was included and I just need to make the swap!Don't really know how rare these casebacks are.. does it increase the value of the watch significantly? Saw one on chrono24 at 4k USD...
