Maurice Lacroix MI1098-SS051-331 wrist watches news:
Did anyone happen to see this?askmen/fashion/trends...x-watches.html
Hi GuysI know this probably sounds like an odd question, but I've been looking at the OMEGA Speedmaster Chronograph watch, but to be honest I can't quite understand why it is so reasonably priced - at least in the UK anyway. Comparing with the TAG Carrera for example, it is almost ¡ê300 (around $500US I think?) cheaper. And they have the same Valjoux 7750 base movement.I am drawn to the OMEGA because I like the brand very much - and this particular watch is a bit smaller that the Carrera, which seems to suit me. I just can't help wondering why it would be so much less than the TAG, when OMEGA watches on the whole are more expensive.Am I crazy? Should this be bothering me so much?? And does anyone know why the OMEGA is so cheap? Thanks! Tim.
Been looking to add this to the collection. My first AP was a Panda, quickly followed by a 15400. Then a RG Novelty once Texex91 (Paul) started posting pics of the beast. Always had my eye on an ROC in RG and with one quick call, deal was made. Big thanks to Chris at ECJ Luxe for his professionalism and super easy transaction 🍻🍻 highly recommend him! As I always tell my wife... the collection is temporarily complete :)On to the main event... The packaging gets an A+And for the answer to the question above...
I got my Planet Ocean 8500 XL about a week ago and its been pretty hard to take it off. I spent a lot of time debating between the XL and the 42mm. Up close, I really couldn't see too much difference. But when standing back about 6-10 feet, I could really appreciate the difference and knew the XL was the right choice. The next debate was between the bracelet and the rubber strap. I don't see too much of the strap around on the forums and to me that is a shame. It is easily the nicest rubber strap I have ever tried on. The only one I'd say is close to it is the one on the UN divers. The deployant on the rubber strap is also superb. I cannot really describe what it is about the rubber strap but for some reason I can just appreciate the details of the face of the watch more on the strap versus the bracelet. For those who have said the watch wears smaller on the rubber - I wholeheartedly agree. It also takes a lot of weight out of the watch and I like how it really doesn't look like rubber.
Was at the AD a few days ago and they had a couple grails in they were more than happy to let me try on. I never can get over the weight of these pieces. Not in the budget right now but soon maybe. Surprisingly I really liked the feel of the DD more than I thought I would. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
