For the third time since 2004, the Public Prize in the Montres Passion Watch of the Year competition goes to a timepiece from Jaeger-LeCoultre. The 2010 winner is the Duom¨¨tre ¨¤ Quanti¨¨me Lunaire, as selected by the public from all around the world voting online. In 2007, the Duom¨¨tre ¨¤ Chronographe took the prize. The Duom¨¨tre ¨¤ Quanti¨¨me Lunaire incorporates Jaeger-LeCoultre’s latest achievements: it displays time with jumping seconds showing 1/6th of a second increments. Also displayed are the date and the age of the moon. This piece features JLC’s Dual-Wing movement which includes two independent power supplies: one dedicated to creating a perfect timing foundation ¨C regulated by escapement and balance ¨C and the other solely for the display of time ¨C hour, minute and seconds hands ¨C as well as the date and the age of the moon for the Northern and Southern hemispheres.
