Montblanc 102337 wrist watches news:
Welcome back to an watches-dealer original series, where we discuss important stores that sell watches all over the world. Each store we profile has an interesting story to tell about where they operate and who they sell to. Whether you buy watches from brick and mortar retailers or prefer to buy watches online, these are the stores that help shape our watch culture around the globe. There is a long list of stores to cover, but if there is a retail location in your favorite city that we simply can’t miss, let us know in the comments below.Where to buy watches in Newport, Rhode Island?Back in 1992, while Ray Grenon was in college, he worked for a store called "The Best of Times" in Rochester, NY. They had a case of watches that were $9.99, a case of watches that were $19.99 and so on. Lots of Timex products and Swatch. Their high end was Seiko LaSalle, Bulova and Citizen. Ray reports that it was a fantastic experience which started him on his journey which resulted in opening Grenon's o
I recently mentioned the brother of this watch which has a 24-hour hand. That was the Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Co-Axial GMT Chronograph watch. Take out the "GMT" and you have this model. Of which, there are actually going to be only a few. There will be the pictured two-tone model in steel and rose gold, a white gold model, an all steel model, and a all rose gold model. This is arguably a more marketable model than the GMT given the more conservative and "Omega" looks of this watch. The GMT had a controversial bezel, while the smooth polished bezel of this Aqua Terra Chronograph is more sober and simple looking. Actually, Omega might have made the right choice to give it a smooth dial against the vertical texturing of the "Teak Concept" dial.Aside from the lack of GMT and bezel, the watch case is mostly the same, if not identical to the GMT model. The dial feels a bit cleaner and more classy, and Omega is hitting high with this watch having all the gold models. Aiming straight at Rol
Hello WTF Members!!!!!Well as spring comes to a close and summer gets into full swing the wild animals are beginning to be seen in all their glory. Yes, the birds are starting to chirp, the bears are coming out of hibernation and yes – the trolls are coming out from under their bridges!!!Though we all know it, we sometimes forget that we should never ever under-any-circumstances feed these wild animals. To do so only invites them to stay longer & feed off our kindness & generosity. After awhile, there are animals everywhere!!Let’s take, oh.. I don’t know – A TROLL for example. When a Troll comes out from under its bridge, it’s looking to feed the reaction good people give when they run across the bitter, ugly, foul smelling Troll. When they find people willing to feed them, they do not go away, instead setting up their new home directly in our community so they can feed off us. We as a community certainly don’t want trolls living in or near our house here on WTF – Troll
Greetings,I'm new to posting on WTF. Have a couple of Omegas, a 16030 bought new in 1987, and some odds an ends.I've been looking at new and used 114270's as a possible daily wear watch but don't feel as though I know too much about years and variations of the different series. I've seen a poster describe a D series as one of the "RRR" rehaut models but haven't seen a photo that shows how that looks. And if I am not mistaken, the newest model Explorer has the laser etched logo at 6 O'clock on the crystal but nothing else. What changes should I be aware of as I consider the different series of the 114270?thx,Brad
I'm looking for some opinions on which of these two movements is better. I've been looking at a couple of watches that are using the ETA and was wondering how it compares to the Seiko. I know that they are considered the "workhorse" movement of their respective manufacturers but I haven't been able to nail down which is actually superior. I've read the ETA is more "refined" and a tad pricier but that the Seiko is more rugged and better able to withstand day to day knocks and bumps. Any opinions?
