Montblanc 9668 wrist watches news:
Looking for some education & enlightening here. Why is a quality winder so expensive? It seems to me that a winder is a simple device. You've got an omni-directional motor that turns around. You've got a pad or cushion that holds the watch in place. You've got a small computer circuit that tells the motor when to go & for how long. You've got some wood or leather, glass, felt or leather around a case. Yet most quality multi-watch winders seem to cost about $500 per head installed, sometimes more. And I'm not talking motorized winders that can open & raise automatically. Just a 'regular' winder. It just seems to me this is grossly overpriced for what's really in the winder. Can someone explain this to me? I've got 1 nice 6 watch winder by a quality brand, and 1 'regular' (read cheap) 8 watch winder & I readily admit the 6 watch is much better made & quieter. However, even the 6 watch winder became loud as it got older (after about 5-6 months), and now is
The case, in stainless steel, measures 42.5mm x 13.8mm. It has an AR-coated sapphire crystal and is water resistant to 50 meters.Movement is the Swiss automatic Zeitwinkel caliber ZW 0103 with 49 jewels, 28,800 vph and a power reserve of 72 hours. It features a big date and power reserve complications. This caliber developed by Zeitwinkel is manufactured in small-quantity lots in their Jura workshops and has a patent pending. The movement has the formidable diameter of 30.4 mm, a total of 387 components, a Glucydur balance and a robust three-quarter plate that plays a signifigant role in the mechanical stability of the movement. All plates and bridges of the mechanism, as well as of the semi-integrated complication, are made of German silver. This material is noticeably harder than the brass that is usually used and requires the greatest precision in its manufacture and ornamentation. The caliber ZW 0103 is chamfered and hand decorated. After a thorough quality inspection and five-stage c
First up. I barrowed the attached photo from one of the listings in the classified section. Now to the question. I would love to find a seamaster pro that looks like this minus the date. I know most people want the date but it bugs me. Not so much that I just won't have it but I prefer, given my druthers, to not. So can anyone tell me if they make such an animal? Many thanks in advance! And a merry Christmas to you all.
Got this event invite from Chase: .insideaccess/EventDetails/1572In case anyone in Houston is looking for something to do on the afternoon/evening of July 16th (and has $200 to spare).... I will not be there, but passing along the info to anyone that might be interested.
Could any owners of the 2254.50 please share some pics of straps that look particularly good with this watch? I am looking for a (hopefully) inexpensive strap for the summer. I've been looking at Isofrane and OEM rubber straps but would rather not dish out such money for a strap I would only use occasionally. Thanks!
