Movado 0606923 wrist watches news:
Can't get enough of Rolexes new ads...
While I didn't come out with anything (but their business card), I did get a chance to try on what I hope is my next major purchase. A GMT IIc in SS. All I can say is, It was Buttah, just like Buttah (LOL). The super case was nice, and the bracelet's clasp was very nice compared to the standard clasp on my Air-King. It's gonna be a hard choice between the GMT and the new Submariner. They said it was going to be a while before they got a ceramic Sub in. So for now I am saving my penny's for the GMT.
This past Spring I toured the Patek Museum in Geneva and Patek very graciously provided not only a private tour guide, but also gave me the unheard of opportunity to take photos. Unfortunately, I've had an incredibly busy Spring and Summer, and it's taken me FAR longer than I thought to finish editing the photos and get the photo report up here on WTF. The good news is, I'm about half-way done with the photo editing - museums are generally less than ideal photo shooting locations due to the lighting, so shooting the Patek Museum was one of the most challenging projects I've ever taken on. However, I think I'll come away with about 50 good photos from the shoot.I hope to have this photo report up in the next week, so stay tuned!
I am a little confused about the differnces between the regular PO and the Liquidmetal version and any help would be appreciated. The few questions I have are-is there a differnce in the band, movement and bezel and are they both 42mm? From what I read the movement and bezel being ceramic being different. Is the bezel and dial more shiny than the regular PO? Further, is it even possible to find a Liquidmetal in the US and if so, what kind of price should I expect to pay. Lastly, if I buy one with a metal band can a rubber strap be put on the watch as well. Thanks in advance for any help/advice.
Hello guys,What do you think about the new Datejust generation? I cannot distinguish great differences between the last two generations. I believe the gap between 162XX and 116XX was much larger. Could it be that now it is principally a marketing operation? Check out the dial options! More diamond dials than common dials are offered. Does Rolex want to push the DJ upwards on the market? I read the description of the Jubil¨¦ bracelet, it's contradictory, they talk about one 5mm extension link but at the same time about a concealed clasp.
