I'm sure most here have grown up with the investigative Docu news show "60 minutes" as part of your weekly diet as I have over the years. Off course the most Recognizable signature logo of the show superimposed on the screen between segments and commercials gives almost a soothing sentimental feeling and a Fond and comfort yearning of the good ole days. the original Brand was the Heuer Stop Watch which is enshrined in the Smithsonian of American History Museum with Fonzies Leather Jacket, Mash Signpost, And Archie Bunkers Chair. For me there's only one sound that is better than the ticking of the mechanical Watch/Clock and that is the pitter patter of the pouring rain at bedtime.

question about clasps on stainless bracelets...
Can you typically replace just the clasp on a stainless steel bracelet, and if so, would it usually need to be the "correct" clasp, or could you cannibalize a different bracelet and use its clasp?I ask because I have a Maurice Lacroix Miros Automatic Dive Watch that I am growing ever fonder of, but it has an unusual clasp mechanism and I'm not sure how well it will hold up over the years. I wouldn't think twice about it, but because of the way the bracelet attaches to the case I don't know if I could find a replacement if necessary. Here's a photo of the watch, I'll try to post some of the clasp later.

Dear Forum membersI am preparing myself to purchase my first AP and am considering the following possibilities:- New Safari- Elephant- Black / Red- Old Safari- Old Navy- Panda- VolcanoWhile doing research on these models I have come across conflicting information about the the lume on the dials. A.P. Royal Oak001.jpgMy photography skills aren't the greatest. I've been trying for days now to get a decent shot... hope this is the one. Just got the new custom made band from AP Bands. They're an on-line company that has them hand crafted in Italy to your specs. I chose the grey calf skin, mint geen stictching, and rubber backing, (the stitching goes really well with the lume). I still have the original clasp, but prefer the more rugged buckle for every day use.
