Thursday has come around again.
For the life of me, I can't remember where I am in my rotation and I can't remember the last time I wore my square. So that's what it will be for me today. I've got to get this dial redone soon but if this hobby has taught me one thing, it's patience.

Vintage Lange & Sohne wristwatches
Hello all:I am trying to pull enough info together to do a story on Lange & Sohne wristwatches for the NAWCC Bulletin. I hope I can prevail upon forum members for some information/insight and maybe some images that you would let me borrow for the article (with due credit given, of course!)It appears the company made military/pilot wristwatches from the get-go when they made the transition from pocket to wristwatches. Other than a few "civilian" examples I've seen from Gisbert Joseph's website archives, I have never seen a wristwatch of theirs that WASN'T a military watch! Did they make many "regular" wristwatches from the 1910s up until '45? Or did they more or less go from pocket watches right to military wristwatches with no "stop" in between to make some "regular" (i.e., non military) wristwatches? Very different watches but which do you prefer? A simple Calatrava 5227r or a 5205r Annual Calendar. The 5227r is 39mm, hunter back, and thinner. The 5205r is 40mm, AC, and thicker. The AC complication is a bargain for an added $12,300USD but it's still a $12,300 price difference.

So it finally happened!
So I'm sure some of you have seem some posts or questions from me over the past few months or weeks about wanting the full on Rolex experience... going to NYC buying from a big AD and all.Well after making a few calls and checking stock around the city and getting feed back from some of you, I said screw it and made some calls to smaller local dealers and today at lunch I found a sub!So I skipped out of work a bit early and headed over and I am now a proud sub owner I have wanted a sub since I was 15 and now I can finally say I own one.I do have one question though, by the time I got home I realized I did not get the green warranty paper, I do have the card... do they still come with the paper that you sign or is that a older thing that doesn't get used any longer?Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
