Starting April 2nd we will be accepting pictures for the new masthead photo. Of course these will have to be photo's of watches made in Germany. The contest will end 4/15 @ 23:59 EDT (U.S. eastern daylight time). So everyone break out your digital cameras and take some nice pics of your Glashutte Original, A Lange, Stowa, Muhle Glashutte, ect.

My first review of a watch from top to toe
This is one of the most difficult watch to snap photos. I try my best here. Hope you will enjoy. ( John H: You would do a much better job, but wrong timing for me.) Hello. Apoligies if this has already been asked before, but I plan to order a custom strap for my 5196G. Appreciate any advise on the lug width of the watch. Some of the available reaources online say it's 20.3mm. Others say it's 21mm. Strapmaker says 20mm should be fine. Thanks in advance.J

Newbie with questions prior to purchase - 5711/1A / 5167A
Hello Patek aficionados,I have gradually migrated from Rolex discussion to this one after seeing great pictures of 5711 and 5167 by Puffy, dddreess, kilyung, brady, TimeOnHand and many others on this forum. I'm thinking it is time for me to acquire my first Patek . I have small collection of Rolexes - DeepSea and GMT IIc. I'm considering trading in the DS for something smaller and more understated. The three pieces that made the short list - PP 5711/1A, PP 5167A and AP 15400. As a lot of people here I have job where the watch can be scratched by the desk or my computer - nothing extreme. On the weekend we do a lot of family activities like skiing, ice skating, bike riding, swimming and such. I'm looking for watch that could do it all with me without needing to baby it.I have asked my wife for her opinion on the styles and she likes the 5167 best with 15400 closely second. I'm leaning towards 5711 for its timeless design. It is going to be my watch so the ultimate decision is with me. T

Sub Date spring bar question
I spent awhile searching so please forgive me if this has already been addressed and I was just a horrible searcher.I have a Sub Date with the lug hole case. I am wanting to add the option of a nice leather strap and was told I needed slightly smaller in diameter spring bars. In my searching online, I have not found 20mm single/no shoulder spring bars with 1.2mm pivots that were smaller in diameter than 2mm.Are there other spring bars that will work with this watch? Will standard springs bars work if I am using a leather case? Suggestions on what to buy are really appreciated. Thanks!
