Movado Launches Three New Smartwatches
Two Swiss watch companies threw their hats into the smartwatch ring right before the holiday shopping season. One is TAG Heuer, which introduced its Connected Watch, developed in cooperation with Intel Corp. and Google and powered by Android Wear technology (we covered it here). The other company is Movado, which launched three smartwatches: two in its Swiss-made collection and one in its Bold line of less expensive, non-Swiss casual watches.Movado is manufacturing its new smartwatches in collaboration with Fullpower Technologies, for the Movado Swiss pieces, and with HP, for the Bold smartwatches.The Swiss-made watches are called Movado Motion, and are powered by Fullpower¡¯s MotionX-365 platform. Hey Guys! Found the WTF today and recognized most of the members from elsewhere (a few lost souls even!) so figured I might give it a try over here. I should be familiar to most of you so you know that I am always willing to contribute and learn in a substantive way. Anyway, always happy to find a new venue to pursue my passion....Rolex, its history, and the watches they create and market. I have always enjoyed JBHII's website and articles and recently have been spending some time on Jake's blog. Glad to see you guys are here. Traveling with nice watches
I usually like to bring 1-2 nice watches with me on trips unless I'm going to a 3rd world type country. I'm leaving for Bordeaux France in a few weeks and I'm trying to decide which watches to bring. Now typically if we were visiting a large European city I'd def go with something more low-key... i.e. something in steel and no Rolexes and nothing gold. This trip we will be doing mainly wine tours and eating at nice restaurants in the French countryside... not even spending any time in Bordeaux city other than to land. Would my 44mm ROO rose gold be to flashy for French wine country? My other option would be a 42 mm IWC Chronograph Classic in rose gold for a more reserved look. I also plan on brining one of my 44 mm Panerai's for a casual watch. Or maybe just stick with one Panerai and call it a day? Wish I had a 41 mm Royal Oak chronograph in steel... that would be perfect for this trip.Do most of you go more low-key with timepieces when traveling or do you just bring whatever you want

Hey guys. Help needed on my first Omega purchase - a Speedmaster
Hey guys, hope you are all doing well.I have to start by saying that I am relatively new in the watch world.I have currently a Rolex SS Sub, and a Patek Aquanaut.Both watches that I enjoy and wear a lot.After much consideration, and lurking around, I want to add more complications to my collection over the years, and I would love to start with a Chrono.At first I was thinking of a Daytona. In all honesty, I didn't fall in love with it as much as others have, it just didn't sing to me as much.Then I cam across the speed master. I absolutely love the history of that piece. Omega brings more diversity to my collection which I also like.I just see so many different versions, and am a little lost on which ones are the more admired ones.How does one pick from so many different versions.Are the numbered edition special?I have recently seen one on a leather strap.Appreciate your help and thank you!

Sending a watch for sizing...
I bought a 5167 on a bracelet a few months ago and finally wore it this weekend. It fits, but is uncomfortably tight. My AD is in another city that I rarely visit. I want to avoid sending it back and forth. Do the links come in half links? Is there a good way figure out what I need?Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
